I enjoyed Jon's performance here. I can't think of any I have enjoyed since though.

I really love this performance. It actually gave me chills when it originally aired.

I remember being amazed by Wanted from that show.
Def. the best I had heard in a while.

Jon performs it like all his heart is in it. You can see his sheer love for the song and love for the song's writer in his performance and that is really beautiful to watch.

Now, where is that passion for some of his own songs on his own tour?

I have heard Jon sing with Bruce many times and he usually doesn't sound all that great. They don't sing in the same key and they have very different types of voices. This song, however, worked well for both of them. I really enjoyed it when I first saw it and upon watching it again it holds up nicely.

This was not in the middle of a long gruelling tour, he's singing with his hero, he doesn't have to go into autopilot or preserve his voice. He knows the world is watching, just that at 51 he can't do it every night. I'll forgive him for that.

So if he can't do it every night, stop being so greedy and change the tour. Less dates, smaller venues, whatever it takes. Although I wasnt for it when the 02 shows got announced, have to say that run was one of the highlights of the last 5 years. Indoor arena so no hayfever problems, no travelling etc.

Stops the fans going home disappointed on his "off/diva nights".

Yeah I agree. Arenas are more personal. They could do it easily in the UK. The O2, MEN Arena, NIA, Liverpool Echo Arena, etc etc. I just think battling against the elements every night (almost) is going to take its toll on a 51 year old belting out

This is so true. However, all of these factors are way less relevant to the CEO than Jon's key motivational factors to keep going: money and ego.

Back on topic: The performance of Born to run is epic and I have watched it dozens of times over the past year.
