That's Munich for me. The Olympic Stadium in Munich is a great stadium and the atmosphere is amazing. It's also one of Jon's favourite locations to play. During 2003's show he said something like:
This beautiful stadium, this beautiful city, let me introduce to you this beautiful band...

That means you have to answer too.

Mine would be Croke Park or Wembley Arena.

Shepherd's Bush? Fantastic? Gotta ask for more detail here.

Granted, if you are lucky enough to see Bon Jovi perform there, it will be something special, but is that not purely because of it's size?

It's not too dirty, true, but it is alway, always oversold, has little in the way of atmosphere or spectacle, and if you find yourself in the seats you will have your knees in your ears for lack of legroom (yes, I know people stand at BJ shows, but still. Let me have my gripe!).

Not a bad venue, but nothing special in the way of atmosphere or facilities.

All that said, for Europea fans, anywhere with a capcity less than 40,000 is pretty cool. The Tweeter Centre at Camden NJ, is way up in my list of favourite BJ venues . for just that reason (not to mention the energy of the show that night!!!!)

Wembley Stadium, in all honesty, though. The history and grandure of that place.....

The Gold Circle was about 100 metres deep, leaving you unable to see for shit throughout the entire show unless you were amongst the lucky 10%. The venue is right next to Park Lane, meaning volume restrictions left you unable to hear anything, the whole ground was completely flat and it took 45 minutes to reach the exit at the end of the show. No way I am ever going back there for anything without a GC ticket.

I'm aware I've posted two negative replies in 5 minues, so I'll say that Yes, Milton Keynes has a pretty unique atmosphere. For one, the fact that they are laid back about campfires and people shagging in the woodland, for two, the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere, so people have travelled expecting an event, and for 3, the fact that you can actually see and that it feels pretty intimate for a venue of it's size (hard as that is to believe).

i can understand that gripe about hyde park i would never have wanted to be in the GA for that one it would have been a total nightmare, i can only imagine, we stood right at the back of the GC and i felt really sorry for everyone in there it looked like a right mess.

gotta agree with u on mk it always feels very laid back and relaxed and the band always seem to love playing there. ive seen jovi there 5 times (some other gigs aswell) they have all been fantastic shows. you very quickly learn not to park in the bowl car parks.

Wembley, Giants, and the one they played in Munich this year, I loved it. I can't stand MK...yeah the shows were great but as a venue, I don't like it at all.

This tour, I saw Jovi 3 times. The first time was in a very NEW NBA arena in Charlotte, NC. It is a large place and the show was solid. Additionally, I had great seats (6th row--my best ever). One would think that would make the best show for me. BUT....

I saw the band at Giants Stadium on the 3rd night. This was a FIRST for me, and I heard songs live that I thought I'd not hear ever. Well that was fabulous of course, as you all know that show was great. One would think that would make the best show for me. BUT...

When I saw them in Greenville, SC at the Bi Lo Center, it seemed (to me) that the band and Jon especially had more energy than in Charlotte, and they had a fantastic show. One man I know was a "medium fan" going in, but came out totally sold on the band. His seats were in the upper level, too! He still talks about that show and how he was impressed with them. The venue is in a lesser-known city. The venue is not "brand spanking new." It also had tickets go on sale during a power outage due to an ice storm (the city traffic lights outside the venue had *NO* power and the box office ran their ticketing system on generators, apparently). MOST of the public had no electricity (and therefore no internet access) when the tickets went on sale. This may be getting off topic here... Anyway, the atmosphere in Greenville, SC was the MOST electric for me. The crowd and the band were "just right" that night.
