Is that the original setlist or what is this paper?
I have that mp3 too and Jon forgets the lyrics, that's true.
One of the biggest surprises in past years I think was Homebound train, too. But heard on that one, that they are too old to play heavy rock songs

But I remember in Bremen 95 Richie played the intro of Stick to your guns and the people were screaming and clapping, so many people seem to like it. Don't know, why BJ don't react... And that song wasn't the first one were Jon messed up the lyrics...

I'm one of them
However, most people that are not BJ fans liked SAY IT ISN'T SO more than missunderstod,Thank You For Loving Me or All About Loving You.

It's definetly my fave song( along with ONE WILD NIGHT) from the last 2 studio albums.

All of us? Well, maybe not all, but probably the majority of the people who post here would like to see more variety. I understand they have a certain need to play the hits for the sake of the bigger audience, but like Sebastiaan said, it wouldn't hurt to spice it up with a few songs that are rarities. They can't please everyone even if they did a total greatest hits concert because they have too many hits to fit in the time they're allowed by most venues. So, since they can't do all of the hits every night, they could alter them and throw in some lesser known songs. It can't hurt to introduce people to songs they don't know. They may like them and go out and buy the CDs.

Problem is, Jon thinks he's doing a great job of switching up the sets.
He says so on the Crush DVD.

Nah, he knows that we aren't happy with the setlists, he made a reference to it during the Bounce Tour, although I can't remember much about it, maybe someone could help me out there?

Jon gave comment on it after the first few Japanese shows. Sapporo was a big disappointment setlist-wise, and even on backstage people started to moan about what was yet to come. People were talking about playing requests and Jon read it and decided to play In These Arms especially for a Japanese fan in the front row.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Default setlists

At the Minneapolis show (7/15/03) we had the first(US) "half accoustic" show. The setlist included Have a Little Faith in Me, Diamond Ring, and Something To Believe In, Love for Sale. It was my 3rd show in 5 days and it was great to hear something a bit different. Frankly, I was enjoying it SO much, I would have been happy if they had continued the whole show "accoustic" I was loving it.

The second half was the usual greatest hits medley, including Capt Crash and the inevitable SHOUT encore....

Next tour, I'd love to hear:
-Some Boxset demos - even a couple per show.... pleeease.
-A Richie solo - something off the new solo CD he's allegedly working on - AND, an extended guitar solo before WANTED.
-No more Bed of Roses dances. It was cute the first couple times, but the cute wore off.
-the above mentioned rarely. or never played songs- I'd love to hear Tokyo Road, and I have no plans for visiting Japan anytme soon.
- Less watered down versions of the hits. Turn it up and let's hear some guitar, drum, keyboard solos, jam a little... improvise...take a risk..

Good point. I often thought that. The shows are too riskfree.

To the original post: I think there is quite a lot of variety. 62 different songs were used during the Bounce Tour. The variety is there.
BUT I think the variety itself is too constant, I mean which song replaces what and at what point in the set. There are few surprises.
