Well - one of the problems is that we are all hypercritcal (in the cold light of day here). The show was actually top notch - really excellent. I had someone with me who had never seen a Bon Jovi show before and he was blown away. They did change up the show considerably from what they had done previous nights also. I saw all 10 shows and I think only one of them was the same as the previous show. They actually changed stuff around much more than I had expected them to - based on my experience of watching these guys.

The real problem is those of us who know the band's backlist and their setlist's far too well. I really wanted to hear more stuff from Keep the Faith and These Days and I didn't. That really shouldn't spoil an entire show for me and it didn't. I did feel let down by them ending with covers rather than originals - but in reality those covers have been played by this band in one form or other since the mid 80's (see what I mean about knowing too much LOL)

Overall I am glad I went to all the shows - it's very hard to have them playing so close to home and not be there.

Looking back on it after a night of sleep, it was good from a show perspective. Very good in fact. In fact, it almost makes it more dissapointing. The band, and Jon were ON, and yet they ended on covers..
I mean, I'm happy I went. I enjoyed the main set, especially the order.
Obviously Prayer was a highlight for me and Teresa as it's our song and our four year anny is tomorrow, but still the ending was bitter. Even Teresa, whose nowhere a die hard but has been to four shows with me, was like "that's it?"

I agree. Yea, a little let down with no rarities but just judging the show and not the set list it was excellent. Jon's vocals were really on for show 10. And I actually liked the fact they ended with the covers. The crowd went wild for them.

If they would end with 'old mcdonald had a farm' and '99 beer botlles on the wall' or something, you'd still be happy

Show and energy wise the show was off the charts!

Set list wise it was very disappointing. Even though I hated the fact that they ended it with 2 cover songs the energy was still through the roof.

The opener with the SNL skit was a good change from the country intro.

Overall I was really happy with the show. I'll remember this show for the energy that the band had and not so much for the set list.

Out of the 5 shows I went to I would still have to say night 3 was one of the best.

IMO. Covers are okay, BUT not to end a show. Wouldn't it be better if the audience were going wild over the band's own songs rather than the covers? It would be insulting if the audience went wild over the covers more than they did for the originals.
