Two simple changes there that would have made that show special and stopped bitching threads like this from me
By his own admission a week or so ago he couldn't sing STYG without working it up because he hasn't listened to it in so long. LTM is the same way. He can get through BTBMB and Roses have the audience help him sing, but if he pulls out one of those and his voice isn't working.......... look I'm not saying it doesn't suck to get a couple of shows that have nothing rare in them, but I'd wait until after Sat before I started crying doomsday.

BTBMB is a very easy song to sing. Forget that it's more up-tempo than WITW or STYG, the vocals in it are massively easier than those two. I'd imagine he's singing the LH tunes as they're much easier in general on his vocals if he's suffering from the reported allergies.

Remember back in the late 90's early 00's Jon had to bring in a vocal coach because the way he wrote/sang the older songs had wrecked his voice?!

That saw a change in the vocal style of the songs ever since.
On this tour Jon has wheeled out a few of those old songs for the first time in ages and maybe, just maybe they've made a mess of his throat again.

That would be an entirely valid reason to be resorting to the Lost Highway and Circle tracks at the moment.

Not that I like defending Jon by the way!

You wouldnt be saying that if you were going to this weekends shows...

There must be others, that arent as challenging, that he can sing if thats the case. Not even talking about older ones either, just something a bit different from those two albums and maybe something from Bounce? His voice was much worse on the Bounce tour but he still managed those songs.

I mean, I think there WERE some great shows. I'd take Hyde Park, Bristol and the Dublin shows any day of the week over the NMS shows I saw. I have yet to see a "good crowd" from the videos but then again, I don't think Bon Jovi lends itself to crazy jumping fans the same way I've seen other bands crowds; however, I can't help but feel that that's the only "over-hyped" part.

Anyway, I'm thinking about you guys and hope you get good shows and nice weather to go along with them so you all can enjoy yourselves. Have a beer or two for me!
