It seems like the guitars aren't as brutal and everything is tamed down a couple notches. I'd rather them keep it a raritie and not play it at all.

Actually Radio sounds very good on tour. The first few times I heard it performed live ( EX Borgata 2004, promotional appearance on The Today Show) they did it VERY Slow and it was in a VERY low key BORING it sucked all the life out of the song. But it sounded GREAT on tour, played with much passion. Wait until you hear it in person.. you may be surprised.. it sounds much better..as do ALOT of songs due to the improvement in Jon's voice.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

[QUOTE=ponrauil]So here's my review of the show :

.

QUOTE: Jon was really good in both of them, it helped. Richie didn't seem to have that much dedication or fun though.

>>>>>>AGAIN - WTF is up with Richie on this tour????

QUOTE: Now for the slow part... IBTFY played the way they play it on this tour is a shame. The vocals go nowhere, the guitars are absent, the feeling is gone and there's a stupid ridiculous tune in the background. The very lower low of the show.

>>>>>>Agree i miss the old version but i don't think IBTFY is as bad as Bed of Roses- I was bored during that song

QUOTE: The Encore 2 was close to great. Have A Little Faith was a nice surprise.

>>>>>>>Not my fave cover song.

QUOTE: Just Older I could have done without (like replacing it with KTF!),

>>>>>>>Agree 100%

Quote: but SIBSN was definitely the highlight of the evening (and somehow made it up at least partly for the KTF absence). Jon was at it's best with the adlibs, the screaming and all, a lot of emotion and energy there. Brilliant. .

>>>>>>i LOVE this song live especially when he adlibs sounds like it was great

QUOTE:About the boys... First Jeff and Bobby... ?... There's nothing to say about Jeff, he was nowhere to be seen except 10 seconds on Treat Her Right. Make that 20 seconds for Bobby. It's seems he was hired so Hugh could look lively.
Hugh... He plays solid but still boring to watch.

>>>>>>HA HA agree!

QUOTE: Richie was a disappointment in the way there was nothing special about his performance. Sure his solos were good, but they were usual. As his vocals.

>>>>>>>Hoping this improves and the usual Richie emerges!

QUOTE: So yes, Jon is the man of the match. This show was his. You could tell he was working hard on himself to make it all work, and overall he managed and had fun. but his dedication was great to see. He might not hit all the high notes, but at least he can still be hungry. I doubted about that very much before that show.

>>>>>>>>AGREE 100% !! Jon has been ABSOLUTELY phenomenal. He has surprised me and I am so happy!

Yea, not really looking forward to it much. I'd much rather have other songs in all honesty.

Than you go and play them yourself... We all would like some different songs, but thats not reason to yell all the time for them... They are doing really great this tour compared to few last ones, and I would not be surpriesd if they pull out These Days, etc. ...

Look at the really bright side... Jons voice is in good mode, and thats what 90% of you didnt believe could happen, and some of you still dont believe... They are pulling really some nice songs out... They are performing really long sets... They are doing it with emotion...

have either of you seen the HAND tour yet? I have and I was pleasently surprised. i am definitely not afraid to criticize jon but really the way they are playing Radio is much better than what you may think.. does it sound like the boxset version ... no.... but does it sound like shit... not at all

it doesn't have to be your favorite song but if you haven't heard it live wait before you judge it.. that's all i'm saying

I'm just stating that I'd rather hear other songs rather than The Radio Saved My Life Tonight... No need for you to get ugly.

I'm seeing them twice in January.... I mean, I've heard it from a show on tour and a few promo shows and it's nothing impressive IMO. If you like it then fine... I don't particularly care for it and I'll leave it at that.

Ryan, It is fine if you don't like it. I just was trying to make the point of how I wasn't really excited to hear it live either because as I said the first two times I heard it done live (on TV) I thought it sucked and they did it slow and low and pretty emotionless but seeing it at a concert in person it was good imo I was happily surprised

Enjoy your two shows in january!!

It's understandable... Sorry if I sounded nasty. LOL... TBoy is ticking me off. Anyways... At this point, I'm just PRAYING they keep Bounce and Welcome in the sets!
