I think most of the songs have been on that sheet for ages, like a list inherited from the previous tours with just the new songs added... so it's not an indication of what they have rehearsed recently.

There's stuff they would never ever play in this tour, like Something to Believe In, Hardest Part, Tokyo Road just to name a few...

Anyway, interesting to see some "obscure" never played live songs like Into the Echo and Learn to Love in there.

I hope he does. And then points at you and smirks. Or winks. Or blows you a kiss.

I vote for the former personally but y'all know I've said that before.
That's exactly my sentiment. I honestly cringe when I hear any difficult songs, but it's not in a "OMG what a horrible performance, my ears are bleeding" way but more like shaking my head in disbelief.

But rock and roll shouldn't be perfection or a high-tech light and special effects show. It's about the songs and the attitude. Both have been lacking so I'm all for these kind of setlists. For a casual BJ fan this is still pretty good, I've seen way worse singers and bands. And much better singers deliver terrible shows.

Dry County might be the only song they have done this year that I haven’t heard live before. It was on the setlist for my show in Raleigh in 2011 and they skipped it, I was pretty upset. So hope to hear it tonight, makes you wonder what else they could pull out...Hey God, Blaze? Pretty excited for Philly tonight

And it’s not like Jon sounds as bad as, for example, Paul Stanley, whose voice basically cracks during every line he sings nowadays. Meat Loaf I won’t even start discussing.

I couldn't agree with you more Deb. I complain enough about vanilla setlists. I would much rather hear rarities that might not be note perfect.

It doesn’t have to be note perfect. Even in 2008-2011 it wasn’t. But this DC performance is atrocious. He can’t hit the notes and tries to stretch them somehow, thus being completely off key. And he pretty much shouted the last chorus in order to get through with it. So in this case, as much as I do want them to shake up the sets, i’d rather not get this song live,as there are other rarities he could try to sing without making my ears bleed.

I’m not being negative just for the purpose of being negative. If you search for my reviews, you’ll see bad ones and good ones from 2010-2013 and I even stated that RIR2017 was fantastic, and it really was. The energy was surreal. But I’m sorry, it just amazes me how can one consider this a good performance.

nice setlist for a samller market.
i hope jon manages to get better and be able to do these songs justice.

I understand - and I hear you. I wasn't saying it was good but I would rather have him try than not try I guess.
