I'm actually expecting that Jon will push his voice and that he'll sound above average.

Nothing really newsworthy. Talking about the recent Billboard interview they asked Richie if there's the possibility of a BJ reunion one day and Richie answer (pharaprasing) "yes, why not, never say never" in a noncommittal way

Edit: they talked about other things but nothing we haven't heard before (growing up in NJ and other anecdotes, meeting Orianthi...). Richie also made the same comments about the HOF rehearsals (it was easy falling back into that etc)

OT: Alec circa 2017 (as claimed by the poster)

Alec looks great, dude is approaching his sixties (if not already, I can't remember) and doesn't look bloated, unrecognizable due to plastic surgery or wearing ridiculous clothes.

I'd say he's aged as gracefully as someone who looked 50 in his 30s could

Alec is approaching his seventies I think.

The bandana and glasses make him look like a Mexican drug dealer.

Re the performance, I don't see why they can't have the original band performing the 80s classics. They were a 5 piece band then and it's not like the songs have improved with an extra guitarist and percussionist. It is as simple as that.

I also see why the current band should play, and while having Shanks there is really bad optics they are not going to waste Phil by making him play rhythm guitar. It's a no win situation really, but they can soften the "blow" by letting the original 5 have their moment of glory.
