Jon loves Rich. Rich loves Jon. That's a fact. Of course, they have loads of unresolved stuff, but you can't deny it's still very much there. It was a very emotional night for me, I stayed up the whole night and I'm stilll very much high on it. So happy to be part of this fandom at this very moment. Loved every minute of it and hope there will be something more than just this this magical night that makes me all teary-eyed and thankful for the magic that can't be replaceable... I believe we'll hear more from them. Not all love lost.

Just saw the speeches. Jon’s was awful. Way, way, way too long. 18 minutes or something.

Richie was talking pseudo intellectual nonsense too with his “humanity” crap.

The others did well. I’m not a hater by any means but I was bored rigid about a third of the way through Jon’s speech.

I did see some people have a go at him about the way he mentioned Richies departure. I thought that bit was actually ok.

I think Dave had the best speech of the night.

I can't see Phil being happy just being a rhythm guitarist though! he'd be bored to tears.

I think he already had to alter his parts once Shanks replaced Bobby/Matt. Phil got a lot less lead work when that happened, enough so that I don't think the transition would be as jarring.

Huge credit for Jon aiming for "Livin on a prayer" high part, without playback!

He could have took the easier way, he didn't.

Well Jon's speech is long but i think it's necessary. Can you imagine if he just speak for 1 minute and done, everybody in this forum will burst and said how Jon Vs Richie ain't over yet. At least we got clear picture what was happened in Bon Jovi, and the best part when he said "he lost his right hand man Richie, his sidekick for more like decades" someone who always there for him, that was the best part and the long speecs i say YES it was necessary important.

By that it gave Richie idea, how Jon felt, how everybody felt and how he was important to Bon Jovi until Jon should ask for help for having rough time and big blow.

the second best part?he said his voice is troubled and the guitar gave him finger. I dunno but he was trying to be honest, he understood the situation and hell maybe he read this forum and said "damn it read whole bunch of people moaning and bitching about my shot voice!"

you know, this is the harsh forum i ever been, you guys just said everything like brutal and honest and sometime i just don't want to read anything in this forum but yeah i kept coming back, this forum gave so much education throughout the years i've been silent reader and decided to join and write of all my thoughts. I think it's beautiful..

but let's cherish it for just one night, it was something that worth to be remembered...Hall of fame is not some cheesy and cheap thing for Jon, Richie, Dave and Tico nor Alex..i believe this is worth of a lifetime for the band, and also for the fans like you and me guys in this forum..

One day when this band gone, they might be dead or retired, there will be some nostalgic moment and this Hall Of Fame moment will be something that we will always remembered..

Every member spoke a journey..it was not just an ordinary band, or something assembled like boy band..this is one kid dream and it became reality, and i thank God i love Bon Jovi..this whole band tells a story..and i live to read this band story..it's beautiful

I’d have been pissed if he spoke for a minute. But he spoke for 18. Ridiculous. Most of the start of it was about Jon and how he learned guitar. It was unnecessary. He could have shortened that considerably and made the point of what music means to him.

Most of the rest was what Rolling Stone called a Wikipedia regurgitation. That’s exactly what it was. The nonsense about “the loneliest guy in the world is the DJ”. We’ve all heard it a million times before and you could sense that from the crowd. It was pure egotism.

The bit about Richies departure was ballsy and necessary but Jon still made that a bit too much about him for my liking.

I’ve huge admiration for Jon as a musician and an individual. But his speech stank the place out because he let his ego get in the way.

Even when there is a playback on that part, Jon sings on top of it. You Can't hear it most of the time because they lower his mic.
