In spite of all this Capt. Crash talk, I would like to thank Jon for NOT including that song last night. I was 4 for 4 for getting it before last night, but now I'm down to just hearing it at 80% of my shows. Progress!

Another random thought -- when you're at a show, your perception of the crowd is so influenced by where YOU are and how the crowd around you is behaving. I was on the floor on Richie's side last night, just a couple of rows from the circle, and it was incredibly loud there. I didn't see people in front of me in that section sitting unless they were diving for their water bottles under the seats. Also, not one person left my row during the show. I can't remember the last time that happened. There were a lot more guys in that section than there usually are, and they weren't just the "I'm taking my girl to Bon Jovi so I'll get lucky" crowd either. They were just as into it as the women. A nice change of pace.

Based on the volume of the crowd as I heard it, I'd have said that the crowd was great.

Terri, I agree. I was on the floor Sec 6 row Q and everywhere I looked people were on their feet. Even behind the stage. The AJC is calling it a sold out show and it sure looked like it to me. Jon seemed very gracious and appreciative when thanking the crowd. I won't be convinced that it was a crappy show just because I didn't get a bunch of rarities.

They're just not placing songs in the best order to keep a non die-hard audience involved.

I would take last night's set and make a few simple changes:

1. Have A Nice Day
2. We Weren't Born To Follow
3. You Give Love A Bad Name
4. Bad Medicine
5. Born To Be My Baby
6. Lost Highway
7. Raise Your Hands
8. Superman Tonight
9. We Got It Goin' On
10. Lay Your Hands On Me
11. It's My Life
12. Saturday Night
13. Always
14. I'll Be There For You
15. Thorn In My Side
16. Work for the Working Man
17. Who Says You Can’t Go Home
18. Love's the Only Rule
19. Wanted
20. Runaway
22. When We Were Beautiful
23. Prayer
24. Keep The Faith

The thing is... the crowd were more into Whole Lot of Leaving than Keep the Faith. It's amazing how well We Got It Going On goes over too... but KTF was the biggest shock to me. No pop for it. Everyone sat... same goes for Someday I'll be Saturday Night too.

This is true. I posted mine a bit cranky, haha. Now I've gotten some sleep! Anyhow, yes... I just drew the bad luck card b/c my section was lame. This girl wanted me to sit down b/c I was in her way. I told her no, haha.

Dan, I usually agree with you, but you're the one who seems slightly out of touch right now. Songs like WGIGO, WLOL, LH go over a lot better that KTF or SIBSN, or Hey God do. Do I like it? No. I think there's a lot of blame for it, some fully on the band, and some that was out of their control. But no matter what, it's true.

You gotta get yourself down on the floor with the rest of the crazy people. I promise you -- no one near me sat for those songs! I wish I could have those folks around me at every show. They were great, and they were there for the music. Very cool!

EDIT - No one better ever ask me to sit down at a Jovi show. No. No way. Not happening!

Yeah, could be that there were some boring people but we sat all the way up there, and i mean the highest seats you can get and way in the back but at least almost everybody around me, women and men, seemed to enjoy every song but Lost highway and some girls even danced to that.
Yeah, one guy decided to get drunk off of like 20 beers during the show but that's his problem. If he had sat in my row, I wouldn't have let him past me cause i was busy acting like this hahaha
