Yes. Fans in the front had several banners requesting Mercy and Jon thought it'd be fun to give it a go. He could never get it right as he'd clearly played and sung the song for the last time in 2008. He gave it several shots, asked the band for help and though it was probably great fun for those who requested it this gave the show a weird vibe, especially considering how it wasn't a very good concert to begin with. They started out alright but as the show went on it started to drag with the many false starts of Mercy, What Do You Got and When We Were Beautiful in the main set. It doesn't look bad on paper and it wasn't terrible by any means. It just wasn't very good either.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Dusseldorf 2011 and RIR 2013 were the two worst Bon Jovi shows I’ve ever been to. This one was very boring and Jon was very off vocally. The show never took off, and the Mercy drama was very annoying..

Big gaps between shows. After Coventry sounds like they need it

This will be a warm-up show for Friday. Jon always lays the focus on the last German show and this time it even collides with his favourite stadium. We used to have that in 2001, 2003 and 2006 and they were all pretty good.

This one might be good. The longer break will only do good for Jon and they tend to really like playing Germany, there have been quite a lot of memorable shows in Germany.

Except the last time they played there. I still remember the faces of Thierry, Erik, Seb, Kathleen, Paul and so on who had all travelled there just to witness it turn into a complete trainwreck
However, 2006 was a great one!

I hope that will be the case; but it seems like Jon has been improving, on vocals and as a frontman, as the tour progressed. Based on videos, and comments from those who attended the shows, I had about reached the conclusion that maybe Jon and the band just needed to settle into the groove, and that the first few shows weren't as good because they were still warming up, so to speak. So my only concern with a long break is that it's going to be like starting all over again. (Pun acknowledged, but not intended.)
On the other hand, having more than one or two days off may help Tico. It's possible that he picked up a bug or something, right before this leg started, and just didn't have time to fully recover before Moscow. That may be wishful thinking; but something like that could explain why he suddenly seems so tired and a little off his game. If that's the case, the rest would definitely be good for him.

It's not that I disagree with those who are concerned that Tico's struggles on this leg may be due to him getting older, because aging could certainly play a part. But unless there's something else going on, I think that's something we would notice more gradually, not virtually overnight. Maybe others remember it differently; but I don't recall any discussions from last year about anything being off in his performance, even towards the end of the last leg. That was only 6 months ago; and speaking as someone who's getting older herself, age-related changes don't typically manifest themselves that quickly.

I've always kept a keen eye on the hitman and I don't think he's quite enjoying himself anymore and the pace may be getting to him.

He's such a hard hitter that he will inevitably not be able to keep up with the performances as he ages. I'm pretty sure Ticos_stick said the same thing earlier.

Springsteen's drummer Max is 70 and can easily go for 3+ hours but his style has never been overly heavy so he can keep up without becoming exhausted. The same can be said for The Stones, Fleetwood Mac etc

He's also been playing outdoors in a wet and chilly European summer with lots of travelling which definitely wouldn't have helped his performances.
