Looks like nobody understood my “I’m done. Lol...” joke again lol, it’s okay
This show was a little off (or maybe it was me that I was thinking in a magic...) Excellent crowd! I didn’t know there would be a lot of peruvians lol, the guy next to me was also peruvian. I noticed a couple more of playback’s in Runaway and Lay Your Hands On Me, JBJ was definitely some way down, he was evidentially having problems with his voice but he had fun & joy in Livin’ On A Prayer again!!! and after the Livin’ On A Prayer before the solo he was mad! lol, a little of Cama De Rosas was also special -_-, I had fun but not too much, I guess I was infected with JBJ mood ‘cause he wasn’t very happy tonight... I REALLY enjoyed the usuals like In These Arms, I’ll Be There For You, etc. Lot of different emotions... and I got to several conclusions about the band. Final conclusion about the concert: There’s still some MAGIC.

I think it’s clear and obvious that these sets are pretty much the same every night as they are safe for Jbj to sing.

Few years ago you’d get a rare track thrown in but not now.

I was at Wembley and I really enjoyed it. The only thing that let it down was the set list not performance and we did get an excellent Always.

Made mistakes again on Bad Medicine
Jon was suffering on the stage and the band was suffering due to Jons
I guess he was ill but he couldnt sing any song
One of the worst shows of the whole tour
I didnt have the feeling that it was the same as in 2016 when he hadnt voice, today was another thing, like if he was ill
Really mixed feelings...Jon was suffering so much, no voice and ill as Xavi says. At the same time it was like he wouldn’t give up and gave a lot more than he could. Example: there are loads of songs I’ve seen him sing parts differently that are easier on his voice, but no, tonight he went for everything (and really sadly, failed).

I really don’t think he can go on much longer. Don’t understand why and how his voice has got so bad. How much of the tour is left?

Anyway, the crowd was insane, the set was ok and the most important thing is that my 6 year old loved it and wanted to stay til the end, so we did, and had a great blast.

Few positives/negatives:
- The band are very good. Phil, although I still don’t think has the tone or the feel for Bon Jovi, is fantastic live. His prescence, his guitar-work, energy, voice,... David, Tico, even Shanks (sometimes).
- Jon still has it as a frontman, **** me if he still had half a voice...
- Cama de Rosas choruses in Spanish
- Instrumental solos in KTF (wasn’t expecting that, I always skip KTF live videos nowadays due to Jon’s voice)
- Visual show, special mention to HAND, God Bless this mess (learning to like that song)
- No Captain Crash lol
- Insane crowd
- My daughter

Negatives:
- The obvious...many songs were unlistenable and Jon was really suffering. Big use of playback to cover things up. Bad Medicine (as usual) was the worst. Why oh why don’t they adapt some of the vocal parts and let David and Phil sing some songs???
- Way too many Shanks’ solos. There was one I actually liked, can’t remember which one. I get this guy is a ‘great producer and songwriter’ in Jon’s mind, but lead guitarist, acting like a guitar hero?? No way José.

Definitely my last Jovi concert, unless he recovers his voice or does something different. Was great remembering at times all I’ve lived with Jovi and seeing my little one ‘raising her hands’, punching the sky and singing her heart out.

Any of you guys still in Madrid? Be cool to meet up. Daughter’s still sleeping, but doesn’t tend to lie in for long...be around til lunchtime.

Have a nice day!

The original set also had Captain Crash as well as These Days. I’ll have to work out how to post a photo

I'm lazy to read news long reviews (even in Spanish)... but I do read headlines. Oh Geez!:

"Ba-Jon Bon Jovi en Madrid: 5 vídeos de su concierto que te van a dejar sin voz"
"Bon Jovi en el Metropolitano: cómo inflamar a 50.000 personas con la voz hecha un trapo"
"Bon Jovi en Madrid: con poca voz ante 50.000 fans"
"Bon Jovi: una leyenda bajo sospecha"
"Bon Jovi and the 'playback', trick or treat?"
"Bon Jovi: Luces y sombras en su vuelta a Madrid"
"Bon Jovi: cuando la tecnología es lo de menos"
"El concierto más humano de Bon Jovi en Madrid"

You are right.Everybody thought in 2011 that San Sebastian show would be a vanilla show between Barcelona and Lisbon,so a lot of people skipped that show going straight from Barcelona to Lisbon.

Finally it was the best show of those 3,but everybody remembers Lisbon and Barcelona, when San Sebastian was better.
You cant predict wich show will be the best.
San Sebastian 2011 is the best show the band has ever played in Spain and the best Ive attended to.
