Steven Tyler and Axl Rose use it too. The smoking habit definitely doesn’t help either.

How many people are actually going to both shows? My guess is not more than 300. That would be 1% of the total crowd. Bands do not make setlists for the 1%

All bands are sticking to a fixed setlist during a tour with a few open spots to swap some songs here en there. I have seen the band this tour in Tallinn and in Holland. 6 songs were different. That's not bad at all.

Where did you pull that figure from?!.

Bon Jovi played two very different setlists in 2011 so saying "all bands stick to the same setlist" doesn't work in this case. Springsteen also plays completely different sets night in night out except for encores which are pretty much set in stone.

Bruce is the exception not the rule. Just look at Metallica atm, playing fairly static sets, as are several others

He ditched the cigarettes for a while in late 2009/early 2010 (if I remember correctly), but allegedly was seen smoking again by some fans during the filming breaks of the movie New Year's Eve. Also, around the release of WAN a popular Finnish music magazine interviewed Jon and he was smoking in the pictures of the article. I don't know if he's smoking nowadays or not, though.

The problem is that Bon Jovi used to do pretty much the same in Europe in the past, hence fans getting used to and expecting it a bit.

That's my point which seems to have gone over some people's heads.
