To play devil's advocate as I haven't compared the two, aren't they able to just program a clicktrack with a slightly faster BPM if the wanted?

Having succeeded in turning Bon Jovi into a one-spotlight act -- like Ozzy or Bruce or Adele -- the problem is that the buck now starts AND stops with Jon. Because he has only recently gotten around to acknowledging Hugh; very deliberately replaced Richie with guitarists who are merely competent; and can no longer deliver his own share of the bells and whistles, Jon is "labouring" under having to manufacture ALL the "oomph" AND distribute it to Bon Jovi's "customers" single-handedly!

I've described Phil's juvenile mugging as making him look like the "winner of a 'spend a day with Richie Sambora'" contest, LOL! As for Shanks, his barely-there playing and soulful gazes at Jon make him come across as more of an onstage therapy pet.

Yes -- it's Hugh, Tico and Dave who are standing between Jon and the Fat Elvis Express to Palookaville. But not being co-frontmen, they're free to out-excel Jon without endangering their job security!

Never understand it. They are nowhere near as bad as other bands but you’d think they’d get bored playing the same stuff

I'm still not sure what my thoughts are on the show. Taken on its own, it was pretty good (but the crowd weren't as good as Moscow). However, it was disappointing that the only change was to remove one of the best songs in the set.
