Just had (not on purpose, we were watching another video and the app kept going down the viewing history) In These Arms coming on while we were sitting outside with friends and family. No Bon Jovi fans, but they asked me to "turn this awful cover band off because it's horrendous". Since they were outside, they couldn't see the TV anymore and really just thought it was some poor cover band that came on from YT suggestions.
So that's how it sounds to casuals when they look up current videos. Shows how far off our judgement is by now...

This will probably be the last time I’ll see them live.
I despise the new music and live they aren’t a patch on what they used to be plus the stage is full of strangers.
It will have to be a very special performance for me to say yeah I want to see these again.
I saw the glory/peak years (90-03)and I’m sooooo thankful for that.
I wouldn’t give Jovi a second glance if their first album was crush onwards.

I can't watch BJ gigs in full now. I have to dose them carefully so they're actually bearable to listen. Jon's become the weakest link; the guy whose infamous Stink Eye used to keep others in line. And if your friends and family are in the house and you kinda play only older stuff, it does speak volumes...

Jon could very well carry the band without Richie and still please a stadium full of casual fans but it'd have to be Jon at 70%+. Jon on this tour is a pale imitation of the powerhouse he used to be. He's running on empty.

This isn't simply an age thing either. I'll be boring and cite the likes of Steven Tyler, Springsteen and Jagger who are still putting on great performances despite their bodies slowing down.

Jon's voice has gone and his guts have gone with it. If he must tour then he should allow David a solo song and let Phil sing a medley or something halfway through so he can go backstage and get rest. He also should never have allowed that absolute tart of a man called Shanks on stage. He makes Bobby Bandiera look like a member of Slipknot.

It's just tepid garbage and I hope he wakes up and realises that embarrassing himself and ruining the bands live legacy isn't worth the money.
