Jeez, just watched Prayer. I am shocked. Started off great, bouncing, grinning, ready to sing, then opened his mouth and his facial expressions completely changed, in fact, it looked like he realised it!

What about bringing back an acoustic set in the middle? Play some rarer tracks, say superman tonight, love for sale, bells of freedom, just stop singing every song so flaming high. Let the crowd do that!

The issue isn't the high notes. The verses of Prayer aren't that high. He can't sing the chorus of This House Is Not For Sale either and struggles with those verses as well. Doing an acoustic set will only expose his vocal issues more as he can't hide behind a wall of sound.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think that the idea is that some casuals do not really notice it and he does not want to make it big news and known to everyone.

This Blood on blood version was reasonable. The absolute shocker is Bad Medicine where probably zero notes were in tune. Kinda mumbling words in a key that is a million miles away from the key in which the band plays.

I think most people are aware of it already. I just read through the comments on this video:

https://youtu.be/9z50ZcUakuo

Most of them are probably not written by as dedicated of diehards as we are, yet there are very few positive remarks. Of course, there's the odd mention of Jon's looks (once again), but in general the comments focus on his vocals. Many of them suggest retirement for Jon, some ask if there's something wrong with his health, and the overall feedback of the show is very negative.

That said, my absolute favorite of all the close to 600 comments is probably the following:

"His teeth are brighter than my future".

I guess he will start to lip sync complete songs on this leg. His voice never got better during a tour.
I think he realized that he is the fat Elvis now.
They should have stopped touring after 2011 where everybody was still in great shape and only play a few concerts a year.

I don't think they should have stopped, but they needed a much longer break. Don't even start writing What about now until mid 2013, 2014 summer tour and go from there. Give them all a proper rest.

I used to tell friends who went with me to Bon Jovi concerts that they should be prepared to hear the concert on one ear and me singing every word in the wrong key on the other ear.
Nowadays I'd have to tell them that they should be prepared to hear the concert in the wrong key on both ears - just in different keys
