It's funny, I also belong to the group of first timers lol I wanna go to actually experience the show and compare reality with the mental picture of the current state of the band.

And yeah, I agree. Jon would fire Jon but he can't fire himself. The others are there out of loyalty *the old gang* or money *Phil* or spotlight *Shanks* I don't think that once Jon calls it a day, Dave and Tico will suddenly become unemployed and miserable. They're all millionaires, they have their side projects and they have countless possibilities and opportunities to do things for fun.

Heard BJ finally played IBTFY and gotta find the vid on YT

I see everyone judges the shows by jon's performance, for me tico torres is the primary reason to see bon jovi live. I also play drums and I can't get enough of watching and hearing tico playing. I went to two shows in 2011, tico and richie sambora created the memorable moments for me. Especially the outro of always I am sure there are still many other things to enjoy in a bon jovi show. If I have a chance I want to see them either in werchter or bucharest. I think It would definitely worth any effort.
Well said, weak vocal or couple of songs from LH are reason not to enjoy the show? there are plenty stuff too but it is ok,we all have different expectations.

Compare this tour's setlist, compare it to What About Nows, Compare it to The Circle, Compare it to Lost Highway. I'm not talking specifically about the LH songs, I was using those as an example.

Always going to be played:

Who Says
Born to be my baby
Prayer
Bad Name
Wanted
Born to Follow
We Got It Goin on
Bad Medicine
It's My Life
Lost Highway
Whole lot of leaving
Lay Your Hands on me

Comes and Goes:

Runaway
Saturday Night
Sleep When I'm Dead
In These Arms
Blood on Blood
Captain Crash
Always
These Days
I'll be there for you
Amen

With anywhere between 1 to 6 new songs depending on how early in the tour it is. Lost Highway doesn't need that many songs played from it. Born to Follow doesn't NEED to be played. Sleep when I'm dead got played way way way too many times. Who Says wasn't a hit anywhere but America. The setlist needs a major major major shakeup. Norway was great to see We got it goin on later in the set. They're retooling and it's refreshing.

Thanks, I'd already found it I wish I understood all the ad-libs, though!

Oh, how I've missed the "through the wind, through the rain..." part. Great to see that back, regardless of how ropey the vocals are - at least there's passion.

I think that's my general view so far. Jon is obviously struggling vocally, but the passion seems to be there again.

My biggest gripe with songs like Lost Highway, Whole Lot of Leavin', We Got It Going On, Amen etc. is that they've been there for 12 years now. I love Whole Lot of Leavin', but it's being played too much and it doesn't work in that spot.
The crowd falls dead each time they do this combo. The casuals don't know them, they're not songs that immediately pull one in and most of the fans who know them would rather hear something else for a change. It was nice to hear them on the Lost Highway tour, but hearing for of them now when they weren't hits (and no Make A Memory which I could give a pass) and only one or two songs from THINFS bothers me. I get that a certain amount of hits need to get played, but I'd also rather have 4 or 5 songs from the album the tour is named after in the set than these again.
I get that Jon's vocal limitations prevent quite a few rare tracks, but the current album is something that doesn't fall in that category.

Well, actually it does just like every other song
