Aloha !

I'm expecting a 3 hour show but I don't think it'll be as spectacular as most people on here tend to believe. I have a feeling that one of the Spanish shows will be the last truly spectacular show, though I hope to be proven wrong for obvious reasons.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I have a feeling this show will get the obious suprises. An encore of Dry County, Always, These Days, BOB, Saturday Night and maybe one more, maybe Hey God. But I don't think there will be a major suprise! Hope to be prove wrong though !

Yeah, same here. It is kind of tough though. A few weeks ago (before Düsseldorf) I was totally expecting them to play TAALS and a whole bunch of other PROPERLY rare songs in Lisbon.

To be honest though, the European leg has been a bit of a disappointment in terms of surprises as compared to the 2008 European leg. If rare songs are played at all, you will know it'll be STBI, HG, TD, DC and a few other semi-rarities (LTM in Udine being a positive suprise). It kind of spoils the fun a bit. In 2008, you never knew what they'd pull out of the closet next. I remember standing in the GC in Hamburg or Amsterdam and we just didn't have a clue which song was next because they kept dusting off these songs that hadn't been played in ages. That's the way it's supposed to be in my opinion. It is also the reason for my increased consumption of alcohol before and during shows this summer

Anyway, I am with Seb on this one, it'll be a long show. Not so sure about the quality of the setlist though.

I agree. The Europe Tour has been a bit of a letdown. Don't get me wrong! There has been some AMAZING shows. It's harder to name the bad shows than the amazing. But in terms of suprises it has been a letdown. There hasn't been ANY tour premiere this leg since the beggining of Europe. Even though I know that you can't crave much more Europe usually gets some crazy songs. Look at Europe 2008! There were so many crazy songs that got played for the first time in ages. This tour it feels like they have the usual suprises. They have the usual semi-rare songs Radio, Livin' In Sin, Older, Dry County, These Days, Always and then what Jon calls major suprises like Wild is the Wind, Damned, Lie To Me, Letting You Go, Hey God, Something To Believe In and those songs. And those are crazy songs that would have made any set list great. But so far this tour there haven't been one single "WOW HOLY SHIT" moment. I remember at the o2, all the crazy set list and all those songs you never thought would be played again !

Don't get me wrong, this tour have had a couple of AMAZING shows but I miss some mega rarities. Letting You Go and Lie To Me are the only true suprises so far, but those have been played last year soo...

I think that some expectations are really off the charts. I'd expect a massively long set (30+ songs), probably with ever rarity or quasi-rarity that's shown up so far (HG, DC, TD, ETC.) but no mega surprises, barring a possible TAALS.

I still have 5 shows to go and these are the songs I'm desperate to hear:

.Living in sin
.Something to believe in
.Wild is the wind

What do you guys my chances are ? If I hear that, I'll go back to Brazil as the happiest man on earth !

you also had a feeling Dusseldorf was going to be great and we all know how that turned out. your feelings can not be trusted

i'm not expecting any tour debuts in Lisbon either, although i can not believe the band will end this leg without playing I Believe and TAALS a single time. as long as they give us a long passionate show, and some of the usual rarities (DC, These Days, etc) i'll be happy.
