I think between 40-50 000,no more. U2 had about 61 000 with their 360 stage 2010 so there is no way to be more than 50 000.

According to Phil X's post on IG, the attendance was 45,000 people in Moscow.

That number seems pretty low to my eyes.

I think it's pretty realistic. Phil surely wouldn't post too low numbers on his official account and, in the live streams of FB from the back of the stadium, you could see that there was a lot of empty room on the floor. The stands were packed, but they easily could've fitted a few thousand people more down there.

The number is correct. Ticket sales never really took off for Moscow. Everyone in Russia knew the band would never be able to shift enough tickets to warrant a show in the bigggest stadium of Moscow. Bon Jovi really missed the boat when it comes to building a proper fanbase in Russia. Their popularity has declined over there as much as it has everywhere else. And this show won't win over any new souls either.

When several big international acts started touring Russia over 10 years ago Bon Jovi Management deliberately said no to plenty of offers and made negotiations difficult. They've been asking the band since the Have A Nice Day tour.

Several international acts like Metallica, U2, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Muse and Aerosmith have all done several shows in Russia. And they've all done better shows as well. Bon Jovi however tried to sell it as some unique spectacle Russians aren't used to and judging by some reactions from fans they think the same. It really isn't. They're among one of the last to perform there.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Exactly, they didn't see the sign of the times. The Scorpions (who have, to be fair, always had a much bigger fanbase there) went on to perform some longer, extended tours in Eastern Europe in the early 2000's when people were longing for bigger acts to come there. There fanbase has become so steary that they can still play pretty much everywhere they want over there, even at much bigger venues than in Germany. The artists you mentioned all saw that and followed two or three years later. Had Bon Jovi gone on the HAND tour and from then onwards, they would've shifted much more tickets.

I meant I was expecting a higher attedance to the show that's all. I didn't mean that the number is fake! Definitely agree, the ship sailed way earlier.

I guess Springsteen is the only one left denying continually to perform in Eastern European countries, and I can't get the reason behind that choice.
