I kinda see what your saying having played in a band and done a few gigs myself. The crowd doesmake a difference but it doesn't come completely down to that. There's some nights when you're just not at your best and it's that simple. Sometimes you may be tired, under the weather, the singers voice may be shot from previous gigs. There are many factors to take into account.
