I think making a setlist is a good idea, but to be fair, in my mind, I sort of know the songs that Jon will sing at the next show. I've seen them for many many years now and the setlists over the last few years have changed to match Jon's voice which I totally agree with.

Putting songs from the These days album is just a no no without serious audience participation now. I'm a singer and if somebody told me that I had to sing hey god for 50 of the 75 odd shows I'd crap myself.

People need to be realistic and see it from a singer's perspective. You have 75+ shows ahead of you, so you really can't be picking songs from the past that you just can't sing anymore.

If I was Jon and knowing the voice, the setlist will be (Not in this order) :-

Have a Nice Day
Bad Name
Living on a Prayer
Who says you can't come home
Born to be my Baby
Runaway
I'll be there for you (Richie)
Wanted Dead or Alive
Welcome to Wherever you Are
It's my Life
Everyday
Raise your Hands
Radio
Saturday Night (Acoustic)
Last Man Standing

Bad Medicine
Probably a Cover Song of Something
Maybe Shout

Oncore

Just Older
Captain Crash
Keep the Faith

Then you will have the odd show's where you will get the suprise songs like Never Say Goodbye, and maybe These Days with audience Helping out.

Either way, its one heck of a show from start to end, and I dont care about the setlist, just happy they are still rocking.

i had "Wild Is The Wind" in my Setlist - Take A Look

I never get tired of hearing Wanted. Dry County is one of their greatest ever songs a big sweeping epic just made for stadiums. They only tour once every 2 or 3 years so it's not like you'd be hearing it all the time. Do you think U2 fans get bored of hearing New Years Day or Where The Streets Have No Name? It would be a song I'd look forward to at every show.

Every song should be played once in a while, it'd make every tour and show fresh, and you'd never get tired of certain songs.

Well Jon sang the song for about an entire year so it's possible. Not anymore ofcourse, but it was possible. And a setlist doesn't need to be the same every night. If I'd hear my dream setlist every night it wouldn't be my dream setlist anymore.

In fact it's sad. You can write down a dream setlist, but Jon simply can't sing about half the songs you list. Then you can write down the songs Jon is capable of singing, and you end up with the setlist they play nowadays plus about 5 rare tunes. That's sadly just the way it is.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I really don't think his voice has deteriorated that much since These Days. I thought it peaked on Blaze Of Glory and Keep The Faith but by the time These Days came out it was already getting the whiny element that it still has today. He's still a decent rock singer with an instantly recognisable voice and he could easily alter the songs to suit his voice the way he has with some of the early material like Prayer. If it's a choice of hearing the songs sung an octave lower or not at all I know what I'd choose. I think he could do Hey God no problem.
