Default The Sofia show should never have happened

When I compare the setlist we got with the one from Milan, Munich and Slane, I feel betrayed by the group I used to adore. I am aware that the hayfever is a serious issue, yet can't stop thinking whether Jon would have reacted the same way had this problem occurred in Germany, Ireland, or Italy. Maybe he would have cut the show short there, too. Anyway, this doesn't change the fact that now I read reviews from people who went to San Siro and feel as jealous as never before.

Sadly, Jon thinks we are aborigines who should be just fine with a cripled concert. Now I read reviews from people who went to San Siro and feel as jealous as never before.

With every day that passes by, I think more and more people on this forum are incredibly incredibly stupid!

What about Portugese fans then? Not even getting a proper stage. What about the 2011 tour, which had Richie AND a Jon that sounded reasonable. What about people in Stuttgart who got 2h just for people in Cologne to get 3h the next days.

Stop being ridiculous and get to grips with it. It has nothing to do with Sofia or whatever. It's simply how things go. Bon Jovi is not a consistent band by any means. And everyone had agreed that the Sofia gig was one of the best if not the best since Richie had left the tour - at that time. So your post is just silly really. If not retarded!

Get over it. We've all had a show which was shorter, not as good, didn't get anything special and then the next night they play six hours and give everyone the best concert of their lives. It's disappointing but not the end of the world.

Without trying to sound to harsh, but you are overreacting and a bit of a cry baby.
Sure it sucks, but hey, other countries didn't get great setlists when JBJ was feeling 100%.
It happens.
At least the singer tried to explain what was going on and clearly made an effort.
Next time when you are sick at work and really can't continue, just stay and do your job instead of going home. Not fair? Neither are you.

So you would have been happier if they cancelled? Because they sure as hell wouldn't be able to re-schedule. Yeah, it wasn't great thanks to the allergies and you got the bare minimum of a concert, but it wasn't like you got 10 songs and then they cut the show. I think they could have handled it a bit better, and with Richie you could have probably chuck him a song or two plus Dave on ITA and pad it out a little, but it is what it is. It's a big shame but it wasn't a deliberate slight by Jon or the band on your country and to think that way is misguided.

With all my respect, I don't call anyone of you stupid. Indeed, the Portuguese fans didn't get the real thing, either, and the list may go on and on. The one thing i just CAN'T get over (and will never ever succeed to do so) is this pathetic inconsistency of the shows. Bulgaria is one of the countries which only had this one chance to see the band live (I doubt if any promoter will dare to invite the group again) and for this reason, as well as the crazy fans (believe me, we were incredibly loud and enthusiastic and Jon and the guys really noticed that), we deserved a set with the Munich / Slane encore. We will never get this, though.
On a side note, it's not only that the shows within the tour are inconsistent. The show in Lisbon in 2011 had a much longer and interesting setlist than the 2013 one. The same goes for Vienna. Just because one city got an epic show in one tour doesn't mean that the same city will get another epic show on the next tour.

Actually, I had stopped bitching about it like a cry baby (yes, I am aware that I am acting like one) until I saw the 11-song encore in San Siro. Maybe I am just jealous and angry with myself for not having been able to afford a trip to the Italian show. I will move on eventually. I know that the way our concert developed wasn't a deliberate move. No one was guilty, yet I as a fan had to suffer the consequences. Shit happens and it is what it is.

P.S. If they had cancelled the show in advance, I would not have been happy with that, either. But seeing every other setlist after ours is just as painful.

All I can say is, at least you got to see the band, many people around the world miss out on seeing the band as they don't tend to go to their country or some people can't afford to go. Just think yourself lucky they went to Sofia in the first place.
