I was at Heinken Jammin' 2003 myself. It might have been well-received by Italians(??), no idea. In was a sub-average show by any means though. The other two headliners played 2h+ each, and were miles better than the Jove. Jovi just came from an epic marathon Munich show that people reference to this day so Jon was clearly not in the mood. And it was f*ckin' hot. But then it was hot for Maiden and Metallica as well, and they still put on proper shows.

As about Padova - I know it was quite unique to have Richie sing, and the crowd took over large sections of quite a few songs. So while it wasn't a good show, it was quite memorable for how it was dealt with. That's what I meant.

Sadly, Jon thinks we are aborigines who should be just fine with a cripled concert. Now I read reviews from people who went to San Siro and feel as jealous as never before.
What have I just read???
1. Please stop your racial crap!!!
2. Perception is subjective. I prefered the Cologne gig to most of Milan apart from the encore although the crowd was on fire and it was great that everybody had a great time!
3.The band is not there to meet your personal expectations (impossible 'cause every one has different expectations.
4. Every show is different which makes a tour special. I thought the Berlin show was bad and Jon was fighting to make it good but it didn't work for me but that's life.
5. Why do people always become so personal here?Time to grow up. Respect works both ways.

Jon was sick in Sofia, simple as,they did 2 hours and what they did do was great, there is no doubt in my mind that this would have been a much longer show had it not happened,i was there and was disappointed for the Bulgarian fans, hopefully it will be on the list for next time.

Yup, makes complete sense to me. I wasn't at the Cologne show, but that main set kicks Milan main set's ass. If I got that set at any other place with any other crowd, I'd be quite bored, because I got pretty much the same set in Munich... Being at San Siro made it OK. The encores are a different story, wouldn't have had it any other way.

This is something a lot of us (myself included, unfortunately) keep forgetting. It's impossible to please thousands of people, some die-hards, some casuals, all with different expectations. Especially not spoiled brats and drama queens like some of us. It's a lottery with Bon Jovi; there's nothing wrong with being disappointed with the set you got and saying it out loud; but constant bitching, complaining, whining won't make any difference.

We all know that Jon prefers certain venues (Munich comes in mind) and they are usually a safe bet for a long show, but longer doesn't always equal better. It sucks when you get a shorter show or a boring set list or even both, but it's not a f*** you to the fans, it's just how it is with them. I do believe it's harder for those who can't afford to travel to see them, who don't get them in their country every tour, but come on... Saying it should never have happened is silly.

As far as I can remember, I haven't been that rude to anyone here. What you have just read is an honest feeling of a die-hard fan who was only seeing his favourite band for the second time altogether (the first was in Bucharest). However, that was the first (and maybe the last) time in my homeland. I cannot afford to see any other show because I make 400 euro per month.
With regard to my personal expectations - I definitely wanted to hear Dry County & These Days. The rest of the setlist doesn't really matter as long as it was at least 25-26 songs. That were my expectations. Was it that much to ask for?

This was supposed to be the best experience of the year for me. Instead, it turned into my biggest disappointment from the band.

Grow up.

I went to my show two years ago under the impression I'd get rarities and have the best night ever. I left disappointed.

I went this year with the attitude of going to enjoy the show. The biggest surprise was 'Someday I'll Be Saturday Night' and it was one of the best nights of my life.

Go and enjoy it for what it is.

EDIT: At least 25/26 songs and 'Dry County' and 'These Days'? Adjust your expectations immediately.

Not sure if I agree with this. I would've loved to have been at the opening shows of the Circle tour (Hawaii/Seattle), and on paper those shows were better than most US shows that tour. Also the opening shows of the HAND tour were pretty decent as well, and Croatia in 2011 also had a great setlist. I think it's hit or miss with these as well, but at least there is usually some spontaneity.
