Sorry, I posted the following in the wrong thread:

I attended my first Bon Jovi concert this year and while I enjoyed it, I, too, subsequently was jealous that the concerts before and after "my" show got 30-45 minutes more. This is a natural reaction. The difference is that I have time and $ to attend another concert and will have the opportunity to do so when they return to the west coast of the US. For the OP, this sounded like a "once-in-a-lifetime" event. Bon Jovi doesn't tour in his country (may not ever return) and he doesn't have the resources to go to another concert in another country. I think we've beaten up on him enough. Every audience wants to feel special.

I have said before that I wish Jon would plan on doing 25 or 26 songs, change it up within that number and then no one would feel cheated from a 3-hour vs 2-hour perspective (Mine was 2 hr, 15 minutes). He would also not put such a strain on his voice that he would have to recover from and perhaps "slight" the next audience.

Oh for ****'s sakes OP, grow up and stop taking it so personally. We get that your show was cut short. For better or for worse, the band's performance changes on a nightly basis, but something like extremely bad allergies is something that just comes out of left field. Oh wait, JBJ and Co. are evil bastards and they just didn't bother pushing as hard. Give your head a shake; Jon's vocals suffered immensely during the second half of the show (or at least from what I've heard) and even if songs like Dry County and These Days were on the setlist, there's no way in hell he'd be able to sing them. You got to see the band you love. Stop letting something that came out of left field ruin that memory.

And believe it or not, even their standard setlists are a decent length for normal concerts.

I went this year with the attitude of going to enjoy the show. The biggest surprise was 'Someday I'll Be Saturday Night' and it was one of the best nights of my life.

Go and enjoy it for what it is.

EDIT: At least 25/26 songs and 'Dry County' and 'These Days'? Adjust your expectations immediately.
You are 19 years old, right? I am 29 and you are the one telling me to grow up. The sad truth is that you are right..I am not behaving in a way that suits my age.

Maybe I named the thread with the wrong words. Now if I come to think of it, I would not have been happier if the show didn't take place at all. On the contrary, I would have been devastated if the concert had been cancelled for whatever reason or if they were going to skip us for the zillionth time again.

One of you guys told me not to let this incident ruin my memory of the whole concert. I will try to preserve this memory because, to be honest, those 100 minutes (until after the performance of I'll Be There For You and Bed of Roses) were absolutely the best experience I have ever had. It was during these performances that I said to myself "Wow, this is going to be a looooong night to remember, the concert of the millenium" the crowd was as electrified as never before, for God's sake even AC/DC failed to ignite such a passionate response when they played here 3 years ago to 60 000 fans at the same stadium.

In other words, I was 100% sure that the show will go on for a long time, the crowd deserved it, the guys were really touched by our response. We had prepared two special surprises for the guys - one during the encore break and another one after the first encore hoping to get them to play a second one. They never saw what we had prepared for them.
As far as a whole-sized choreography is concerned, our promoter had PROMISED to give us a hand with the financing of something similar to what you saw in Madrid but he bailed at the very last moment leaving us on our own.
It was bound to be a great night. Instead, it ended abruptly without any encores. I know it isn't Jon's fault. But it wasn't my fault, either. Casuals left happy, while we the diehards were disappointed because we all know what it could have been. That is why, it pains me to see every subsequent setlist after Sofia. I had tried hard to resist looking at them but I failed. Every time I see 1-hour encores I feel like being stabbed in the back over and over again. Esearis, you think I am incredibly stupid and I accept that, I have never been anyone's favourite. Yet, if your show on September 15 gets axed by a 1/3 due to unforeseen circumstances, I guarantee you that you will feel just as "incredibly stupid" as I do right now.
I will change the name of the thread later today so that it would reflect more accurately what I wanted to express with it.

Well, now that you explained yourself better I don't think you're an idiot. Just a really disappointed fan, I apology if I insulted you before in any way.

No problem. It was my improper behaviour that created such impression. I picked up the wrong words because I was still very much affected so I just wrote down a bunch of thoughts without thinking twice.

It is my desire to find friends here, not to create enemies because, after all, we are all die-hard fans of the band we love. Sometimes they hurt us, but, at the end of the day, it is still the band worth fighting for.

Totally agree, that's why we're all here for. I just asked a mod to delete the 'joke thread' I created.

Dude, have some perspective. Your favorite band played an hour less than you'd expect. There are worse things in life.

Seems like you have a tendency to value your experiences based on what others get. This sounds totally retarded to me, but hey if that's how you roll, think of a bunch of people in other corners of the world, who were never able to see their favorite band live.

Hello everyone! I have a special request to all of you who quoted my first post in this thread. I took my time to think the situation over because I felt that what I wrote didn't exactly resonate with how I felt on this particular day. Now, I understand that Jon didn't cut the show short just on a whim. So I beg you to delete your quotes of my initial post, it is no longer relevant. I would appreciate that.

P.S. I apologize for getting on your nerves with my constant bitching about how screwed up by bad luck I felt.
