Default The TRUTH About Giants Stadium...

Hmmmm, I guess it’s about time I posted something about my experience at Giants Stadium Night Two on 19th July this year. I understand there are probably dozens of various stories doing (or done) the rounds about this, but I have yet to make any comment about it whatsoever as it wasn’t really anyone else’s business. I basically decided to post this as I felt like I wanted to post the TRUTH about what really happened, rather than you guys listening to fake ‘Chinese Whispers’ stories.

After attending nine successful shows on the Have A Nice Day tour, in Germany, Scotland, England, and one (so far) show at Giants, the second night at Giants Stadium, I managed to get a Fan Club GA ticket from a very good friend of mine. Kathleen (Who also had a GA ticket), and I arrived at the stadium at around 10.30am to find that the place was petty much deserted. Now, for those who queue and sleep overnight in Europe to get first or second row will understand, to get to a venue such as Giants with nobody there is pretty strange to say the least! When we got to Gate C, where the BSWJBJ Fan Club had advised to begin queuing, there was still not a sole to be seen. There was the odd member of security dotted around, who didn’t even have a clue that there was an event taking place on the day, never mind where have knowledge about where a certain group of fans should be waiting were!

By 11am, after driving around Giants at least twice and walking around asking people where the FC members where, we decided to simply go to where we had been advised to by the Fan Club. There was still not a sole in sight, apart from a bunch of females in their cars in a far away parking lot, who when asked didn’t know about a FC queue either. Next to Gate C, was a large red and white printed sign which read ‘Fan Club Line Starts here’ so as far as we were aware we were in exactly the right place…or so we thought!

After sitting in the 100-105 degree scorching heat for two hours, we decided to go for another walk as fans casually started arriving. We approached the same group of girls as earlier, who were sat in their cool air-conditioned cars, who one of them announced that they had taken it upon themselves to change the place where we were all supposed to be queuing without actually informing anybody else. What a cheek! I wasn’t happy in the slightest, despite managing to get number 78 in the line. I asked politely why they had decided to change the place where everyone was to queue and to go against the FC who had arranged a place for their members. One female told me that it was posted all over Backstage that they had changed it. Complete and utter rubbish! This was nowhere on BS. We had checked before leaving, on a number of occasions.

As Kathleen and Becky will tell you, I wasn’t happy with the female’s responses which I received and I told them that we had been queuing in the correct place for the past two hours and no-one had come over to inform other fans who had started to arrive that they had changed the location of the queue. She ‘advised us’ that we had not been queuing for any length of time at all, yet another female corrected her to back up my statement as she had seen us walking around, yet still not come to inform us of any changes.

The girls started to get rowdy and we had somewhat of a slanging match. I don’t generally argue with women. Ever infact, but this bunch of what I could only class as ‘weirdo’s’ REALLY wound me up and continued screaming and being using abusive language. I wasn’t going to take this, so naturally when someone has a go at you…you shout back, especially when you KNOW you are right. I did yell back at them, which as far as I’m concerned, they duly deserved. One female got on my nerves that much, I told her to F**k off! At this point, Kathleen took me to one side and told me to leave it as it wasn’t going to get any of us anywhere.

It was left, and we all went to cool off, and we entered the stadium with no further incidents.

During Nickelback, the small girl infront of me felt I was overcrowding her. I was stood approximately a foot back from her, yet she decided to have a go at me, as she wanted ‘five feet of room so she could dance’! I mean, WTF? Has she ever been to a Green Day GA show? Five feet of space at a concert? Is she having a laugh, or what? I informed her that if she wanted five feet of space to dance, then she was clearly in the wrong section of the crowd. Seats with extra space were available at the rear of the stadium and out to the side. We can all give and take at a GA show, but I couldn’t believe the cheek of her wanting five feet of danceable space.

Next, was the really fun part of the day, when half way through BJ’s set, some extremely drunken guy and his just as drunken girlfriend pushed entirely through the pit without a wristband of any kind nor FC number. They wanted front row to take pictures of the band, which obviously upset a lot of people who had been queuing all day, for some no-mark to come and push in. We allowed the couple to stay for a few minutes, then when asked to leave, they refused, so I have called for the stewards infront of the stage to help out. As I have done this, the guy has taken liberty to swing his fist into my face. What did I do wrong here? Would anyone else have not done the same, if they were in the situation?

Anyway, I got escorted out of the pit by stadium security to the medical room, to get my nose cleaned up. I then had to go and give a full report to the NJ Cops, who took all my details and decided that because it was an altercation, that we both had to be ejected from the stadium. I was gutted naturally, and still am if I am being honest, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. I am more gutted for the fact, that I knew I had been innocent in the situation, and the guy was charged with being drunken disorderly, charged for assault and charged for spitting at a Police Officer! Says it all about the guy really, doesn’t it? He sounds like a lovely chap…I don’t think!

Very strange that I should go to eight other FC shows on this tour, and for them to all pass off, uneventful, yet this day, trouble seemed to follow me everywhere I went to no real fault of my own!

Later on Backstage, they decided to hatch a bunch of complete lies about me (which spread to a 27 page thread) saying I had been threatening all these women and apparently I even told one of them that I would ‘Re-arrange their face!’. Laughable! It really is. Anyone who knows me (which yes, is a lot of you, now) know that I can be quite hot headed (which I am first to admit) at times, especially when I am passionate about something, like Bon Jovi, and even more-so at their homecoming in NJ. The thing is, would I ever threaten anyone? Would I really threaten a women with a violent act such as that? The answer is no, and ALL of my real friends know this is the truth and nothing but the truth.

For those non-believers, go and believe what you want, or believe what other folk have told you, but I can 100% assure you, that this is only accurate story about what happened. Mary Beth and others on BS believe they have the alternative story correct as they ‘received it via text’, so it must automatically be true! That women and her petty little followers know **** all. This is Fact.

Anyway, this is the true story (finally) from the horses’ mouth. Thank you for reading and thank you for trusting me, over those Backstagers who have made up pathetic inaccurate rumors and tales.

Please note: I am locking this, because as far as I’m concerned all has now been said, and I am not prepared to discuss this any further on the public forums. If anyone wishes to discuss it with me, please do not hesitate to send me a PM.
