Well I think KC got the show they did on Tues because the band had just been there the week before, Jon knew much of the audience was going to both. Des Moines may have gotten Always because Jon wanted to try it out before KC and truthfully Des Moines is a place likely to be less critical than say MSG or LA. They have to try out songs they haven't played in awhile somewhere, see how they fit into a set whether Jon likes performing them etc..... Luckily for me I picked the right KC show to go to!!!

I don't see much of a pattern other than maybe the band was getting bored, Jon feels good and his voice is in really good shape for this point of a tour so he's feeling confident about pushing himself a bit, and he's down to five shows before nearly a month off so he can go for it a bit.
Atlanta ought to be fabulous, at least I hope so since I'm losing a bunch of sleep just to get there , LOL!!

I agree with Kabamodernrox, but i think in certain cities like Dublin, effects the set because he has said that dublin is one of his favorite places to play. I think the most important thing is the mood that jon is in that night and if they are playing multiple nights at a place. It's really what jon feels like playing that night. Also the crowd does play an important role, the more the crowd is into it the more jon and the guys are into it. At soldier field we also got an extra song that wasn't orginally on the set, but with that said since it was their first time playing there you would of thought that we would have got some rare songs but we didn't so you never know.

Or decent job or a helpin' hand
Wherever somebody's strugglin' to be free
Look in their eyes Mom you'll see me."

Aloha !

Seb will probably hold up the entire setlist by then because he's getting a request for a new banner about every week. Lazy gits!

A short summary of what the MSN conversations with Thierry have looked like at the times I was working on the banners:

Thierry says: You should make a banner for Hey God!
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You should make a banner for Wild Is The Wind!
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: I've got this brilliant idea for a banner!
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You know I've been thinking about these banners...
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: I've got this brilliant idea for a banner!
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You know I've been thinking about these banners...
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You should make a banner for Damned
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You should make a banner for Dry County
Supersonic says: alright
Thierry says: You should make a banner for She Dont Know Me
Supersonic says: **** off

I'd rather hear Hey God than Dry County though, to be honest, though it'd be nice to find out what a sober Dry County guitar solo sounds like.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think it really is the crowd. Like you all are saying, some venues the crowds are loud and into the show, and they've gotten more songs, and even a variety. But places like Vegas where half the crowd is sitting down and he has to mention something to the people about getting up and getting into it, that effects it because we either got 21 or 22 songs.
I still also think that the boards have another part. He read them, people have been complaining, now things are changing. Maybe he's seen the posts? Who knows. I like the change ups though.

I'd actually quite like to here something rare off New Jersey or something else off These Days.

That's not true. When a setlist is written Jon adds rarities to the set if the band is playing in a place he loves. East Rutherford always get the more special show, as does New York, as does Philadelphia, as does Munich, as does London. As does Manchester. As does the first show of the European tour. And the list goes on and on.

During the show Jons mood might change if a crowd is more spectacular than he expected and add a few audibles to the encore or something, but you can fill in which show will be special and which one won't, hence the standard setlists for most shows on the American tour.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
