Yeah, I was standing there (at Molineaux) waiting for the KTF screams, but no, if I closed my eyes it was just like listening to my OWN cd.

If thats your defenition of crap, then you are an EXTREMELY hard person to please. So you may not get 100% the show you want, because, horror of horrors, the band actually do have other people to please besides you, believe it or not. So you don't get exactly the setlist that YOU personally want, that automatically makes it a bad show does it? God, for people that listen to a band with uplifting optimistic lyrics, you're all BLOODY MISERABLE. I'm going to London tomorrow, and I'm gonna enjoy it whatever the hell they play

Mark this one down as another time I agree with The Walrus.

You're never going to make everyone happy.
The majority of the fans are happy with the show.
The minority (though very vocal) fring element of fans who can tell you what Richie's farts smell like will never be happy unless they get the set list they deem the ultimate.
So, you can either go to enjoy the show and go in with a positive attitude - this is a Bon Jovi concert, I'm gonna have a great time, great songs.. - and just get on with having fun. OR, you can go in with a notepad and pencil jotting down every complaint you have about every element of the show that didn't live up to the show you created in your mind.
It's your choice.

true...but the majority of the ppl who 'complain' have been to many shows, pay loads of money to see them in consecutive shows...and i udnerstand that they are upset that they have more or less seen the same show twice for hundreds of bucks...im sure i would be one of those ppl too but i dont have the cash :P ill go 2moro veyr positve but still hoping for my fave songs...

Right, but the point is... .it's a very, very, very small minority of people who are travelling around following Bon Jovi. It's not like the Grateful Dead here! And those are the people who are being vocal... though, it must be said, those opinions are worth more than those of the people who aren't shelling out ay money and are sitting at home, reading set lists on teh computer and complaining via the internet!
No one told them to buy tickets to multiple shows - shoudl they personally be rewarded for that? Is there some sort of payout we're expecting after we invest a certain amount of time and money into our hobby, which is the band? It doesn't work that way.

Yes, that's right. When you buy a concert ticket all you are guaranteed is that there will be a concert. I think that people tend to lose sight of that and expect that the band "owes" them something for their loyalty over the years, and when they don't deliver it upsets some people. Hence, the complaining.

Yes but there is a certain relationship that a band has with its fans. The ppl who are most vocal about the band and the disappointing set lists are also the ppl that kept the band in business during the lean 'These Days' years, the ppl who bought 'Destination Anywhere' and believe its better than 'Young Guns' and the ppl who religously go the more than one concert, buy the T shirts etc.

Without these hard core fans the band would not have made it this far and will not make it any further when the cycle turns again and the casual fans drift onto something else.

No, the band don't owe us anything - we would be wrong to think that - and we would be posting madly on the backstage board because that is full of fans who think that - which is why we are here BUT....................................

It wouldn't be hard to say thanks to the hard core fans by playing a couple of unusual songs at gigs. We are an easily pleased bunch - a simple 'Something to Believe In' or a 'Dry County' or 'If I was Your Mother' would shut us up completely and keep everyone happy but they can't even be bothered to do that at the moment.

The relationship between a band and its fans is a two way thing and I think they get a lot more from the fans than we get from them at the moment. The box set and a possible acoustic tour would redress the balance so all is not lost but its teetering on the edge at the moment because the Crush and Bounce years have not been fan orientated ones, they have been money gathering, corporate shows, celebs at shows years. Everything is cyclical and we will always be there ready for the cycle to turn back to integrity and musical growth again.

Exactly. One song could make the difference between a show being very basic to being unique.

I always go home from a show remembering one particular song, for instance, getting home from the Wolves show and thinking, "god, I'll Be There For You was great!" and it was, but it's still I'll Be There For You. I don't have anything against the song, but I think I've heard it at practically every BJ show I've been to. Now, if they had played something like Homebound Train or Let It Rock, then that would have made a hell of a lot of difference.

The only thing we are finding annoying from the shows is the set lists. The performances from the five guys on the stage are still very good.
So, would it really hurt for them to play the odd Blood On Blood or Dry County? It's not as though they've forgotten these songs or anything is it?! This could make the difference between and good show and a bloody amazing show!

QUESTION : WHERE WERE THE FIREWORKS

ANSWER : FOR A 5 MINUTE DISPLAY AT THE END OF THE HYDE PARK SHOW

QUESTION : WHY DO THEY NOT MIX THE SET UP A BIT TAKE A FEW RISKS

ANSWER : AT HYDE PARK THEY DID, THEY PLAYED THESE DAYS, BLOOD ON BLOOD AND EVEN AN ACOUSTIC "NEVER SAY GOODBYE"

Oh and Hyde Park is in London, loads of celebs must be there, Hey I know whey don't we give it all we have, bust our asses like we haven't since Munich and give those Londoners a show to remember unlike those poor sods in Wolverhampton.
