Yes, the Hull thing is hard to understand. I mean why Hull?

They could have added another date in Scotland, in another Scottish city, Aberdeens Pittodrie Stadium! Theyve NEVER played Aberdeen, Edinburgh! Or a date in Wales! Any of these additional dates would have been a sell out, or very close to it. Why close the tour with a date in Hull? I have no idea.

Hull was added for contractual reasons.

The promoter was too quick off the mark when preliminary tour plans were made in 2005.

The album (HAND) was in the can or so they thought and provisional dates for a tour in 2005 were planned one of which was Hull.

By the time the album was redone and the tour postponed to 2006 an agreement had already been reached for the band to play Hull in 2005.

When the tour plans for 2006 were being done the promoter tried to cancel the Hull date but was unable to agree a suitable compensation package for Hull stadiun so it was finally added to the 2006 tour schedule very late in the day.

As this is a contractual date coupled in with Jons loathing of playing half empty venues expect a half assed set and performance from him here.

That explanation makes logical sense to me. Hopefully, the crowd will be strong enough so the band doesn't just phone in this show.
