yeah - I got a bit over-excited by Corey Taylor's vocals. I don't like Slipknot but the guy is a fantastic frontman. And the energy in that performance...fantastic.
But yeah - agreed with you, poor solo, and the overall guitar sound is not the best. I prefer paying it a little faster rather than a little slower though, which probably adds to the edge of this version.

This is the way it should be done, except for the fact that they had to cut the song short due to TV restraints. Jon sounds awesome, and Richie's solo is blistering.

Musically it is a bit meh, but Corey Taylor does an incredible job with this song vocally. I love that a guy who is known as a metal dude is showing the song such respect.

Indeed, have for a long time thought that this was amazing. jbj's voice is like gunfire. With a voice like that, on this occasion arguably the best rock voice ever, how could disaster strike so badly?
