But their legacy is that of a 80s party band. Which isn't right, because their best songs are the complete opposite of that. But songs like this will continue to bury that knowledge for the masses.

I see your point but man, the fight is over. It doesn't matter what they release, it's not going to change the public's view of them. They did it right with Superman Tonight. It's a pop song, but it at least had a more mature rhyming scheme than past singles and it went nowhere. I kind of like that their best stuff is our little secret. Might as well let the people think what they want, it's the masses' loss.

Maybe. Maybe not. Superman Tonight is a somewhat mature song, but it's also pretty generic (I do like the song). The two songs that they really should have got out there somehow were Brokenpromiseland and Loves The Only Rule. Mature, but also very distinct.

But, it's moot. Because you're right., public opinion isn't going to change at this point. I blame Jon for that and some of the publicity choices he makes, but there are other factors to.

It's funny though, my friend's sister saw them at Giants Night 3. She said she thought they were talented but too "party-bandish" and "commercial". I played her bits of These Days, KTF and The Circle, and she said verbatim: "I can't believe this is the same band." Which is true, there really are two flavors of Bon Jovi. To me, the one we know will always be the true face. But you are right that only we will ever know that.

It's a shit song and probably was written in 10~15 minutes.. It's the same as WGIGO.

Nice to see them copying themselves in something else than IML though!

I enjoy both faces though, when the songs are good anyway.

Shit song. For me it's barely a song. Just a drumbeat with some stupid lyrics.

I liked the "this is our hooooouuuussse" part since I first heard it, and I want this to be released, and I hope (but I'm almost certain) that it will be longer than 2:30. Great party vibe! (And yes, "These Days" is my favourite record! I love *both* flavours of the band)
