I agree, in 1995 his tone was great (very pleasing to the year) and he could pronounce words properly.

Thing with wanted is that you tend to focus on the guitars more than the vocals, it's what makes the song. So it's easier to get away with than bad name.

Very few, I would imagine.
Are you serious?
I can only speak for the US here (but I'd still put money that the WW numbers are close) that 80% of the crowd are seeing them for the first time, and another 10% are seeing them for an under-5th time at any given show.

You're never gonna get a full Bon Jovi concert without Prayer/Bad Name/Medicine/IML/Who Says/Wanted. None of those 6 will ever be dropped, ESPECIALLY on any type of permanent basis, no matter what anyone here (myself included) thinks. The big 3 off of Slippery and IML are what the foundation and legacy of Bon Jovi are built on, and are the songs that casual fans go to see. Bad Medicine hovers near that zone, and it (and sadly Shout) is still a major casual crowd pleaser. And Jon just has a major boner for WSYCGH and what it did for the band. I can live with them being played every night (though the only one that I think HAS TO BE PLAYED AT EVERY JOVI SHOW EVER is Prayer) if they'd change up some of the rest of the set, which they somewhat did later on last tour. Hopefully that continues.

This thread is nuts.

Something To Believe In is my favourite Jovi song but if I met Jon before the show and he said to me "Oli, I really like your shoes, and your hair is brilliant. Also, I'm going to play Something To Believe In at the gig tonight...but at the cost of Bad Name"

I'd then say "**** YOU JON. GIMME BAD NAME INSTEAD THEN"

Because ladies and gentleman, You Give Love A Bad Name is the best part of the damn show.

And as Andy said - when you are THERE it's so much fun, do you really think a shitty youtube fan-filmed video is going to do any justice? REALLY?

Shut it Sausage, you're not making any sense.

Bad Name isn't the best part of the damn show, it's their standard "we'll play this song second so we can get the crowd going early on and won't have to work so hard for the rest of the show" stuff, and when I'm there and Bad Name comes second it does not mean it's fun. It means 3,5 minutes of Jon attempting at singing this song even though he's completely lost in this song every time they perform it, and not even their uber pro superb overdubbed stuff on MSG can save this song and do it justice. A shitty youtube fan-filmed video might take away the good parts for you, but it also takes away the bad parts for me.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

You're right.

Sleep When I'm Dead (medley) is. Bad Name is a damn close second though.

I can only assume you're being sarcastic.

Hell no.

Seriously, I love these parts of the show. Who Says and Captain Crash I can't stand, but Bad Name and Sleep are brilliant fun.

Bad Name is the only Jovi song I can't get bored off with repeatitive playing. Why wouldn't I love experiencing it live?

And remember, I've only been to 3 Jovi gigs. A Jovi gig is still a new thing to me.

But it's all subjective I suppose.

I wouldn't go to see a band a second+ time if I couldn't enjoy 90% of their set and was just attending in hope of that rare song being played.

I suppose if you've only seen them 3 times, maybe I can see why you're not sick of it. However, whether it's your 1st or 50th time, how can anyone deny how lousy the song sounds live?

I've often thought, maybe if they moved it to the encore, or mid-set after a lull, it would work better.

It Will Never Be Dropped, It What Made Them Big, Keeps Them Big (live) And It Suits The Band As It Is A Spin Off From Others Songs

Why Change It After 20 Years??????
