I've attended 5 shows, from 4 different tours. The first one I attended, in '95 cannot be compared to their shows they're putting up now- it was 100 times better than now. The Crush Tour was already much, much worse than the tour before, the These-Days Tour.
You are right. I do agree with everything you say here. The difference is very big, I was talking to Seb about this last week.

Mohegan Sun and both Boston shows. The only time any of the crowd (that I noticed) sat down at all, was during the intro to Blaze Of Glory and I Got The Girl at Mohegan.

They won't be replaced. They're great live tracks.

Replace Complicated!!?? Are you nuts? That's the best song of the whole record! We wanna hear the new stuff! Imagine that it would be replaced by Keep The Faith; that would suuuucccckkkkkk!!! Don't get me wrong, Keep the Faith is a great song, but I've heard it too damn much live. Even the greatest song ever will become boring/ annoying if you get an overload of it!

You have to admit though, this is the same with MANY if not most bands. They're 10 (now 11) years older than they were in 1995. The energy level isn't going to be the same. The intensity level won't be the same.

The only band I can think of offhand that plays with the same intensity level as their heyday is Poison. Then again, they only play for about 75-80 minutes.

Eeehhhm... How can you forget The Boss, Bruce Springsteen! He's almost 60 and still giving all he's got, live. So energetic! You can really see that he still really loves what he's doing. His last tour, Devils & Dust, solo and accoustic, was amazing. During that tour, he played more than 150 (!!!!!!) different songs!! In 2003, during The Rising Tour with the E-Street Band, they still rocked for 3 hours; night after night!

Yeah, Springsteen's another.

There are others - As I said, "offhand".

Yes,maybe that's the reason.Anyway, smoking is bad for the health and I'm really glad if Jon gave up smoking.
