I thought Jon made that comment about Something For The Pain, and I would agree with him, lol!! I think there are some good versions of STBI out there and I do think he could definitely to the song today, minus the scream.

Are you sure your not mixing "Something to Believe In" with "Something for The Pain"? As for AOD, the version on the LH dvd is pretty good IMO.

I could be mistaken, I just remember him commenting on one of the two and saying it frustrated him to play it live because it never sounded right.

I have heard good versions of AOD, but not yet a great one. Everytime , something just seems a little off with it. Maybe it's just me, I love that song on LH and it just never seems to be quite as good live.

I think the best version of AOD was at the O2. Since then they've slowed it down and its lost a lot of punch.

After a youtube hunt I've found a few post-2000 versions of STBI, and the best one (post-2000) appears to be from 2001.


There's a couple of ****ed up notes but at least Jon tries to hit them, and sometimes does, unlike the 2003 acoustics. His voice is better now though, so he might be able to hit the notes, but he hasn't hit all of them in any post 2000 version of the song.

Let's wait and see, if they play it it will be cool anyway.
