Gotta luv that way of thinking.

I know <sigh> that's why I don't post there. I did join this year thinking I would get better seats but the entire family would have had to be members and then we all would have had to camp out at Continental. It was a momentary lapse of reason on my part - it won't happen again.

another thing....this 1 ticket per member with the FC is stupid....wouldn't that be an ideal way to increase their fanbase, give your loyal diehard fan the ability to bring along a friend.

It's the only FC I am aware of that only allows a single ticket per membership.

What's the deal with this???

The only conceivable benefit I can think of would be to compat scalpers (as pairs of tickets are more desirable) but you would think that presenting all your valid membership i.d. would be sufficient......I guess it will go down as one thing I will never understand.

If anyone has any insight about this, please share.

Ciao.

That's exactly why I'm not a fan club member. My Jovi concert-going pals don't share the same "focus" as I do. They are merely casual fans.

I have been a fanclub member a long time and up until the Bounce tour it was always two tickets. But, the demand got to be so heavy that many of the bigger markets, like Chicago, NJ, Boston, Philly, fanclub members were getting shut out of tickets because of course everyone always bought two tickets. And with only normally 200 tickets allocated per show then only 100 folks got tickets. The number of fanclub tickets allocated per show have to be written in the band contract. It seems like they could get a bigger allocation of fanclub tickets and that would solve the problem but then yes, we get into then every scalper joining the fanclub to get their pair of tickets.

These ticket auctions amount to nothing more than corporate greed - what a surprise. I had hoped for better from these guys. This was the only band I would pay to see - now, well if I go, I go. If not - oh well. I didn't join the fan club because I thought it was a rip off and who needs the BS, anyway? Well this is one way to end a 20+ year obsession. It's gonna save me a hell of a lot of money.

We can sit here and complain about it all we want but the sad reality of it all is that as long as there is someone out there willing to pay those prices - the promoter, the band and even the ticket agencies are willing to sell to them. They say it is to circumvent the scalpers, why? What were they doing other than making a buck? If scalping was so incredibly bad than outlaw it altogether. Don't promote it by "auctioning" off your own tickets! So the only one making $ off these so called auctions is ticketmaster and I think it sucks. Furthermore, Bon Jovi should be ashamed for not only allowing it to continue but allowing it at all.
