Default Ticket Dilemma for Dublin 30/06

Not sure how or if anyone on here can help me but I completely misjudged my 9 year old's desire to go see Richie and so when I got tickets initially I left him out! I got two seated tickets in the circle row d. Now all I am hearing is how much he would love to see Richie and guilt is getting the better of me! So this morning I rang both the Olympia and TM and the nearest seat they can offer me is row g seat 15. Obviously too far away considering he is only 9. So I suppose I am asking if anyone on here has row g seats who would do a swap for row d? So as not to leave me with one very disappointed little boy! Any help appreciated!

Could you not get your tickets swapped for different seats? I know some venues allow you to do this as long as it's not sold out.

I'm standing so can't help directly myself.

Unfortunately no. I was on the phone to both TM and the Olympia this morning. I think had I bought the tickets directly from the venue I would have some chance alright but TM won't swap them under any circumstances.
I asked how many seats were still unsold and was told 80-90. So if all else fails and there are still a large number empty on Monday morning I might chance buying a ticket with hopes of sitting in empty seats once in! Not sure though as the box office staff said the promoter might give empty seats to friends! Hard to know what to do but all I know is I have one very disappointed little boy on my hands! (Then again going by recent reviews he might be more disappointed after seeing Richie!)

I know this is no use to you but I've a spare standing ticket. I'm going to Belfast now after a change of plans. Going very cheap if anyone wants it..

Why don't you and your son take the row d seats, and have the other adult sit in row g?

This was what I was thinking. Also...has there been children at other Richie dates? Seems a bit odd to me. Your choice, of course.
