Well they just screwed up my tickets to Continental on the 19th. I bought them on the presale for the 19th and if I have a choice I always have them e-mailed. That way I get them right away - I don't have to worry about being gone etc. Well - they never e-mailed them to me and today I spent about 1 1/2 hours on the phone trying to sort it out. I finally got them e-mailed but they had screwed up the order royally. I am not feeling warm and fuzzy about them at this point

If all the good seats don't go during the presale, then where are they going? They didn't go to the general sale in DC.

Bon Jovi tickets went on sale today at 10 AM. At 10 AM and 1 second there were 2 people and 3 computers on the Ticketmaster site searching for tickets. At 10AM and 15 seconds, the best tickets that were available in the MCI Center were the worst 4th level seats in the place. For the next 5 minutes these were the only tickets available. Then the show sold out. There was a radio presale... but I had the password and when I did that a few days ago, the same 4th level seats were selling. How the heck does Bon Jovi sell out faster then U2 in the same venue and how am I on the site at 10AM and 1 second getting the worst seats int he house???

Got any insight or suggestions for the next time?

Sigh. I'm SO sick of having to buy tickets on eBay!!!!

My only advice is this. Here in the States anyway if you are willing to buy single seats sometimes you can bump up to a better ticket. Or and I have done this a few times, i've gotten a cheap seat and gone to the box office the evening of the show and gotten my hands on a last minute band released seat. The latter is really just luck and being there at the right time, and oh yeah getting a box office person that has more than two working brain cells left.

My only advice is to go the TM auction where TM is scalping tickets for at least the first ten rows. Sometimes its cheaper than EBay. The whole system is completely screwed up and its hard for actual fans to get decents seats when ticket brokers can buy them all up and then re-sell them at three or four times the original price. Then we pay dearly.

Angry ticket master "auction"?

I'm disgusted by ticketmaster's tactics even though they do not affect me. Especially after finding out a pair of tickets went for $1800! However, someone, somewhere, must be trying to cover their collective butts because after clicking on the link to the auction it states,

"This auction will benefit the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief. Your support will help the Red Cross provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those affected. All winning bidders will receive 2 reserved seats in the first nine rows." http://www.ticketmaster.com/auction/16003B2FBE6A754F/1/

This statement was NOT posted prior to the auction (that I could find) and bonjovi.com had no comment when I questioned them. The question is:"When did they decide the extra money was going to benefit a charity?"

I've never seen a ticketmaster auction that was NOT for a charity.

Maybe it was an oversight not to have put the blurb on right away.

Why don't you guys take it to the band? It's the band that gives a crap about how and where people get their tickets. Why bash ticketmaster? Go to the source!

I did ask the band @ bonjovi.com, I have yet to receive an answer.
