From what I can tell, it looks like Universal Music realized just how desperate Bon Jovi fans are to get close to their heroes during previous auctions and took advantage of that. Remember when Universal was auctioning off personalized and autographed song lyrics, personalized/autographed CDs, an IM chat with Jon, and two tickets and two nights at the Borgata? Those ALL went for well over $1,000; and if I'm not mistaken, the two tickets/two nights at the Borgata went for $6,100. That was back in October -- now in November, wisened up to the fact that Jovi fans who have the cash will senselessly bid against eachother, skyrocketing the price just to ensure they stay on top of the game (when in the end they're jacking up the price), Universal Music auctions off the prime seats for the Borgata. Seems to me like the October auctions were "experiments" in trying to gauge a Jovi fan's price range and in November, they ran with it. Just my humble opinion, of course.
