Be Very Very Careful

I had first hand experience with booking through a sold out ticket specialist and the company went into liquidation!

I bought 2 tickets for Wembley last year, was supposedly the first concert at wembley. I originally missed presale as thought £75 was too expensive so booked Southampton. About a week later thought i had made a big mistake and as first and only concert(originally was 1 date) at wembley thought had to be there. So to be assured to get GC tickets booked them online and paid £127 each. plus fees was over £250 for 2 tickets. so much as being too expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Booked them back in September/October but then in February 2006 got email saying went bust, they were still confident that we would get tickets. but we were not confident. about a week before concerts which were now MK (I was annoyed that i had paid over £250 for GC at MK) They called to say that they can get us tickets but i declined them and managed to get a full refund, thankfully because we booked them on a credit card they protected all our purchases and they reimbursed us the full amount as we didnt get what we paid for.

So the moral of the story is, Be very careful and use credit card and even then it is still a risk, I thought an established company would be better than ebay but i was wrong and wouldnt recommend it again.

Id rather pay Ebay than the unofficial touts like this, at least you have some comeback with Ebay. Infact if I was despirate for a ticket id just turn up on the day, theres never a shortage of people selling tickets outside. They were practically giving the MK ones away last year.

Agree. Would never buy them from anywhere but a reliable official ticket site, BUT on the day of the shows there are always touts practically trowing the tickets at you!

Default TickEx.com

Hi,

I work for TickEx, we are one of those sites were people go to buy and sell tickets.

We just introduced a new search tool that allows people to see all available tickets on all reputable sites.

Since we only list tickets from reputable agents it will make it safer to buy and sell.

I had to sell my spare MK Gold Circle tickets for £30 a piece

But then, that was a very special kind of cock up

Tell me about it, I had the same thing. Was told to F- off by the worlds rudest man at the Inner GC, after having to run the length of the bowl just to get a wristband from the idiots staffing the event

Little Laura is right.

www.tickex.com guarantees that if you a buy a Bon Jovi ticket, you will get it. It is completely safe - there is a 24 hr call centre as well.

Unlike ebay there is someone you can call up at tickex if you have any questions. You don't know who you might be dealing with on Ebay.

In most cases you do. No seller with 100% positive feedback is going to risk that good repuation by ripping you off. The small print in tickettout sites like yous is appling, ie only giving you back Face value of your ticket (without booking fee) if the gig is cancelled

Thats a good point Neurotica80 - most disreputable sites don't refund the full amount paid if the event is cancelled. However www.tickex.com protects buyers - it FULLY refunds all money paid in cases where the event has been cancelled, something I don't believe Ebay offers.
