Wow. Yes, Bon Jovi tickets are ridiculously expensive, but their peers in the top 5 are also charging out their bums.

Taylor Swifts top ticket price when she came here was $120. And didn't have ridiculous $2000 packages. Her VIP package was $389 which included pretty much the same things Bon Jovi's $2000 packages did.

All tickets are expensive.

I still have the ticket from going to see Extreme in 1991. It cost me £9.

The average Jovi ticket is $96.53? And that's expensive? Sounds cheap to me.

It is ridiculous that they offer this package, but i think some of this boils down to the stupidity of the buyers. If there was nobody buying this package they'd lower the prices, but there's obviously some crazies out there spending $2000.

Are you kidding? It's ridiculous! Maybe you live in a city where the shoes are and go alone, but many people go as couples or groups and have to travel to the shows. It all adds up. $96 is ridiculously expensive for 2.5 hours of standing and listening to music. Not everyone has that in their budget.

Doesn't say how many shows they've had to perform in order to generate that money..... Taylor Swift has probably done 30% more gigs than BJ on that tour.

Jeff Dunham made more than Matchbox 20?!??!

That's the average gross per show for the shows in the US

Duh, that'll teach me to read it properly......

Doesn't state gross per show, says gross per city.

Still not that reliable though as cities could be completely different as well as venue sizes. For example Jovi are playing one show per city while Swift is 2 or 3 per city. It's just not clear enough to make a comparison.

Just looked on Wiki at tour so far for both BJ & TS:

Swift - 12 gigs/7 cities
Avg per gig: $1,114,819.50
Avg per city: $1,911,119.14

BJ - 14 gigs/14 cities
Avg per gig: £1,895,050
Avg per city: £1,895,050

On average per city, yes TS is just ahead by virtue of playing more gigs per city, but on per gig average.....

Or maybe I'm just wrong!
