Default tour cancelled (even though it wasn't even confirmed yet?)

Hello,
yesterday I got some news from a couple of german friends. there was this article in the newspaper about bon jovi cancelling their upcoming tour. in short they said this:
there were gonna sign a show in wolfsburg on the 24th. the contract was already made up, they just had to sign it. but then the band announced the european tour was cancelled. the agent gave as a reason that there were time-problems with the new album.

There was also some news in Holland that a concert planned in Nijmegen wasn't so sure either. On the other hand: yesterday on bonjov.com Q&A the Oompas answered again that the album is gonna be released in spring. And that was announced earier this year already. so there's no sign from them there aren't any time-problems.
(Q&A: Question:
when will bon jovi new album be out in england?
asked by kate on Wednesday, December 15, 2004
Answer:
It will be out sometime in the spring - worldwide.
answered by BON JOVI INFO HQ on Wednesday, December 15 , 2004 3:20 PM )

this was just to keep you informed.

If there are some time-problems the Oompas aren't the ones who know all about this. They know shite.

No they don't. They only get complete tour schedules when it's finished. But months before the complete tour is anounced we all know about several dates. Also, they spread false info as well. Sometimes things are cancelled and they don't know a single thing about it and claim everything goes well.

Sebastiaan

Just let relax. We will see and if they not tour in June, the might tour in August and if not in August then maybe next year. I am sure they will hit the road again someday!

A friend of mine who works at a record company (not Universal though) just said something similar. The planned tour is postponed to a not known time . The possible reason (not named by the band) is that there are some speculations about a big concert event for that a lot of big names want to be free. For that reason some other tours also won't get announced until January.

I can't imagine that they were planning to play in Wolfsburg though exept of Volkswagen would sponsor the tour again. No big names play there exept of when there is a sponsoring by Volkswagen and VW didn't sponsor big acts since the last BJ-tour anymore but concentrate on new bands.
