What's a kill seat? One with obstructed view or something like that?

It's one where the people next to you are talking loudly during the whole show and taking selfies all the time. It's called that because you want to kill them.

Yes, Becky, in most cases, it's totally obstructed due to the production/stage set up.

Bon Jovi have highest grossing tour of 2013

US rock band Bon Jovi had the biggest international music tour of the year, according to Billboard magazine's 2013 rankings.

The group played to more than two million fans during 90 sell-out shows, grossing $205m (£125m).

Cirque Du Soleil's Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour was second on the list, followed by singer Pink.

The Rolling Stones were the highest placed British act - at number six - raking in $126m (£75m) from 23 shows.

They finished behind Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, who were fourth on the list after grossing $147m from 53 shows.

Rihanna was at number five in the rankings after she played to more than 1.5m fans during the year, bringing in £137m.

It is the third time a tour by Bon Jovi has finished as Billboard's highest grossing of the year.

The band - which is fronted by Jon Bon Jovi - previously achieved the feat in 2008 and 2010.

This year's "Because We Can" tour began in February and finishes at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia, on Tuesday.

Other British, or part-British bands, to make the Billboard list included Depeche Mode at number nine, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters (11), boy band One Direction (12), Paul McCartney (16), Fleetwood Mac (17) and heavy metal band Iron Maiden at 25.

The lone classical musician to make the list was Dutch violinist Andre Rieu, who came in 20th place after raking in nearly $50m from his 70 performances.

While the tour wasn't pleasant, I wouldn't go as far as to describe it as gross!

But this bands finished, no ones interested, JBJ cant sing, no one wanted tickets as RS dropped off the tour and the setlists are shit (as described by people sitting on a laptop not at the gig)

I guess this board should change its name to Jovi Negative Talk cos thats all I read from most so called "fans"

I've often thought the header of the site should be changed to "Bon Jovi--The Band We Love To Hate"

It is amusing to recall all the gloom and doom over these last months post Richie absconding: "They will have to cancel Europe if RS doesn't come back," "The packed audiences are due to tickets sold prior to RS leaving (or in anticipation of his return)," "The real test will be in the second North American leg," "The real test will be in South America," "The real test will be in Australia."

The Bon Jovi machine knows how to have a #1 tour. Credit where credit is due. Who knows when or what the next tour will be.

The thing is, there's short-sighted people like you who love to believe the bullshit propaganda Bon Jovi come up with, and blindly accept anything they're being offered. It's your kind of people for which this propaganda is done, and seems to work really well.

But then there's people that actually think these things over, and realize why exactly the band has that number 1 tour. All for reasons that haven't got much to do with the bands current popularity, but more with them jacking up the prices and no other big acts touring.

There's a reason why the tour was done this year, instead of next year. U2, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen are all going to tour next year. There's no way Jon would have the number one tour again next year, hence it needed to be done this year. And then there's the insane amount of money they make per ticket nowadays, which is a lot more compared to other acts out there.

However, it seems all rather pointless explaining these things over and over and over again, because people like yourselves constantly feel attacked for someone questioning their opinion and then will bitch about these other "negative" people, call other people "haters" or things to that extend, as they seem to be incapable of actually taking in what's really going on and prefer to live in their Bon Jovi coloured world, whatever color that may be.

As for negativity, you might need to look into the mirror. You and a few others seem to have this obsession going on about Jovitalk being too negative, there being too many haters, and always complaining about "how awesome it was for you thus others should feel the same way". It doesn't work like that, there's posters on here that enjoy shows I rate as crap, but I rarely get into an argument with them because they seem to be able to respect my opinion, so I respect theirs. I question it, sure, but still respect it and then treat them that way as well.

But if you feel the constant need to post about the general tendency on this board, you're essentially critisizing the majority of the big posters on this board, thus bring in negativity yourself. You don't like the amount of negativity on here? Bring up counterpoints, tell everyone how they're wrong for being negative, as opposed to just endlessly bring up how wrong people are for feeling/thinking a certain way, without actually explaining why. Try a proper debate, instead of these one off posts critisizing a bunch of people you don't see eye to eye with. Because really, I'd love to hear it. Ultimately everyone here is a die hard or a really big fan, and wants the band to do well. If you can't come up with anything though, keep your opinion on a select few people on here to yourself, because in the end all you're actually bringing in is more negativity, and according to you we seem to be doing just fine on that.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Well looks whose piped up.

People like you throw up "the tickets are more expensive " bollocks. But people still bought them. People still attended. Who knows what a sell out tour these days is anyway?
So you are saying jovi decided to tour this year because no one else was? Utter lunacy.

Please point out my negativity. I'd love to see it.
Or is it negative to be negative about negative posters.

I respect everyone's opinion but I don't have time for trolls who just post shit cos they like to whinge about gigs they've never attended.

That is all

jon wants to be no.1 tour, thats obvious but i dont think he is afraid of the comparisons...springsteen toured this year and in the past years they have toured simultaneously and jovi "won"...
the stones toured this year, they booked very few shows but bj couldnt know for sure the extent of the stones tour 1,5 year back when they scheduled the shows...
jon wants to be no.1, needs to prove himself and make the extra bucks to buy a nfl team. jon is many things not one who chickens out though...
this whole sold out shows, stats and figures may are impressive but after all these years bacame tiring and is another proof that the bussiness killed the artist in a way...havind said all these springsteen, who many people love to compare to the guys uses the same marketing tool, in fact its almost identical with slightly poorer numbers...
