I suspect he was being sarcastic.
Anyway, at my gig I bought a $50 "Route 66 Lost Highway" shirt, a $20 "heart & dagger" wristband and a $30 tour guide/program thing. At the top end of the scale were some hoodies and Soul shirts for around $140 or so, and posters at the bottom end ($15 maybe but I can't remember). Prices in AUD but tour merchandise is never cheap anyway.
