Travel tips (for the o2)

Right, I have been on tHe hunt for cheap train tickets for a while now and I just booked a return journey to London on the 11th of June (returning on the 12th) for £22! Found them here after seeing an advert on tv, very convienient ...

if you want cheaper, national express are running coaches at £5 return

£0 for me due to having a relative that drives the NE Buses. Not particularly looking forward to the journey from Glasgow mind you.

Really? I love long journeys. And funnily enough, I travelled to Glasgow from Cambridgeshire last year to see a gig (it was Bruce Springsteen btw, I know you were wondering).

I can only get £66 return (Liverpool to London) on all the major train websites. I'm really annoyed at how they can charge this. I used to be able to get tickets a few years ago for less than a third of the price. Grrrr!

I was just checking out where The O2 is in London.

It's 8 miles away from all the good stuff i.e Trafalgar Square, Soho. So if you're making a short hoilday of it, stay in the centre. The O2 is also across the river so the Tube would be a nightmare.

yeh the 5 of us got return trains from york with east coast for 20 quid, staying at the clarendon which is 80 quid for a double with breakfast and its 5 mins walk from o2 which is a bonus for the pubs after,

I got cheap train tickets from Edinburgh to kings cross - £26 return!!! very excited when i got them - was thinkin i wud have to fly down for bout £80 return, wud have paid that but grudingly lol. only booked last week tho and got my concert tickets last week, was waiting for the rite time to come along.... plus the saving i made means i cud upgrade to a better ticket than i t hot i wud be able to afford!! and stay an extra nite for more shopping lol

being a passenger in a car and a passenger on a shitty ne bus for 8 odd hours or whatever it is they take to get to london these days are 2 competely different things...

Newcastle is about the furthest I can hack on an NE bus and even then I usually take the train.

Nah, I love them in whatever form of transport. Especially buses when I'm on them with a bunch of strangers, just staring out the window daydreaming or having a massively long thinking session.

I already do it everyday - but I could do it all day everyday.

Let me just echo this.

I live round the corner from The O2 (so getting there is no issue for me). I live in East London, and I believe The O2 is South-East. So for those of yous who are coming down from outer London and would like to explore other activities, my advice would be to choose accomodation in the central parts of London. Then we can all meet up at Planet Hollywood again
