Tutorial: How to write a proper setlist.

You're right ...I'm trying to write a set with your rules and it's all but easy

'One Wild Night'.

I've seen it after and I have deleted my post.

I’ve tried to make my one set list following the rules (except for bounce)
and this is the result:

1. Rocking in the free world
2. Livin on a prayer
3. Runaway
4. Raise your hands
5. Blood on Blood
6. In these arms
7. Hook me up / Undivided
8. I’ll be there for you
9. Guitar solo / In and out of love
10. Wild is the wind
11. Any other day
12. Hey god
13. Just older
14. Have a nice day
15. Make a memory
16. Dry county (I know it’s a single but has been treated lik a cut of isn’t it?)
17. Whole lot of leaving
18. Someday I’ll be saturday night
19. Keep the Faith

20. It’s my life
21. Lost highway
22. These days
23. Wanted dead or alive

24. This aint’ a love song.

I know it is quite similar in the structure to the sets of 1995 / 1996 but if you follow the rules you understand why so many good songs are rarely in the set lists.

You did well, I see you exchanged an album cut from New Jersey for a single from These Days.

Still, your setlist shows that you too can not make a setlist that follows the "rules". This is still a setlist of your dreams, instead of a setlist aimed at both the average concert visitor and the die hard.

And regarding Dry County; Different markets, different singles. Dry County would be an album cut in America but a single in the rest of the world. Hence me listing I Believe as an album cut for America.

....well...if you put Always / Bed of roses somewhere and Bad Medicine / Bad Name I guess it is pretty well balanced; don't you think?

On the other side, following the rule of at least 1 track per album, the choice of a guitar solo + In and out of love I think is a good rock one.
I know that very occasional / recent fans may questioning "what the hell is doing the guitarist?" during the solo but...

Maybe another rule to add would be the difficulty of the song...singing speaking.

I think that these seven songs in one set would be too good to be true but I really liked your theory Only hope that someday Jon would change the basis of the sets...
