Question - are cameras going to be allowed?

When I went to Vodaphone arena to see another band, they had these big signs up saying no cameras, so all I had was my phone which was small enough to hide in my pocket.
But when we got inside, I saw that hundreds of people had cameras with them - do you need to get them past security or will they mind if I carry one with me? I really want to take some pics, and I can only get good ones with my camera.

Usually the rule is you can't bring in professional cameras...usually ones with detachable lenses.

Im pretty sure small cameras are fine.

Him, so those are the ones with the cover over the lens part then? I don't have one of those, just a small camera. My parents have one with a detachable lens, I want to take that one, but if they won't allow it, then I guess a small one would be acceptable.

i've been to a gazillion concerts (ok not really) at both etihad and rod laver. even been front row and camera's have never been an issue. i just have like a normal size small canon and i've never had any problems so you'll be fine.
