I doubt the process of booking venues starts with Jon phoning the Australian tour management company by saying 'Make sure you book us a night at Adelaide'.

If they booked it, they'd happily play there and I would be annoyed if I stayed in Adelaide, too... but to say 'they obviously had no intention of playing here' is a bit silly.

If you asked any member of the band to name the capital city of each Australian state do you think they'd answer correctly?

They're rock stars not geography teachers.

On a separate note, I'm having a lot of difficulty convincing my girlfriend it would be worth it to get Rod Laver Arena tickets since we're already going to the Etihad show.... any ideas?

Threaten to dump her if she doesn't let you get a ticket.

I think that should work.

book 2 nights in a nice hotel - you might as well go to both shows while you are in the city

I meant since the tourdates had been released lol
Of course its not personal that Adelaide has not got a show.

Well...we only can go by what DCE said themselves to Adelaide fans: They tried very hard to get Adelaide on the agenda, but the band wouldn't budge on adding Adelaide. Is that the facts...who knows, but regardless of the wheeling and dealing around stitching up dates and venues, it makes our cause here increasingly difficult to pull this off.

I'm pretty sure they'd get 2 out of 5 right re: capital cities names [Syd/Melb]

They should be, you can't have cheaper tickets for one and expensive for the other. That would hardly be fair.

I'll quote my post from the other thread....

"Im not sure what the general public tickets will be like but im having a look at the backstage prices and it seems they have increased in price!!

$142.50 - P4 (REG - Regular Price)
$187.50 - P3 (REG - Regular Price)
$282.50 - P2 (REG - Regular Price)
$375.00 - P1 (REG - Regular Price)

The Sydney show prices were the same as normal...

$95.00 - P4 (REG - Regular Price)
$142.50 - P3 (REG - Regular Price)
$187.50 - P2 (REG - Regular Price)
$282.50 - P1 (REG - Regular Price)

This is all in US dollars btw."

Yeah i agree it would be totally unfair to change pricing.
Drives me crazy how they release the seating/pricing info at the last minute! I'm going to try and get Presale tickets this time, never done it before so fingers crossed it works :S But not many people seemed to have much luck getting tickets to the Etihad show during the Public sale so i spose its worth a try!
