My candidate for the most "typical" Bon Jovi concert review ever:
"When Bon Jovi is THIS hot, they're smoking."
It LOOKS like a compliment, but is it
really? Methinks that either the band WAS smoking hot or they weren't. And if they WERE smoking hot, why not simply WRITE "Bon Jovi were smoking hot?" Because you didn't want to admit it? Because it would have offended your superior musical sensibilities to give your due to a band that isn't a critical darling? Because your editor wouldn't like it?
