Default U.S. stadium show?

A friend told me that Jon did an interview on a Boston radio station this morning and said that he is going to do a stadium show in Boston in June. He said he prefered Fenway but would settle for Gillette stadium. This is great news for those of us hoping the band would do some stadium shows next summer. Now, I know we can't take Jon's comments to the bank, but its a good sign.

Just last week (on the Frank Skinner show) he said that the Wembley shows would be the final shows of the tour in June. A concert or two at Giants next summer would be very nice

I think he was referring to the UK/Europe tour when he said they would be the final shows, or that's the impression I got at least

They've been kind of following the same patterns for years. I think he meant Wembly would be the last of the European tour. Then they'll come back to the States for some more shows. They always seem to be in the UK in June. I bet we'll see Japanese dates for January announced soon.

Personally, I'm not too fond of stadium shows, but I'll take what I can get when summer comes and I have time off work. Besides, it's half about the show and half about seeing friends.

Well I'm not Becky but I can say that the sound usually sucks at stadium shows. Also, you are generally seated a lot further away. On the plus side however there are those gorgeous warm summer nights to hear a concert at Giants. Summer, outdoor concerts are in a class of their own I think.

And Ceri - I hope you are right - I watched the clip again and he really wasn't clear about which "end" he was talking about LOL. Concerts at Giants this summer would make me very happy.

Chances are they end at Giants...just like the past two tours have gone.
