For your personal info Livin_on_my_Hair:
Galatasaray is the biggest Turkish club. They won the UEFA Cup a few years ago beating Arsenal London in the final.I think it was 1999 or 2000. Their coach is Gheorghe Hagi and I’ve seen him on Romanian TV saying this. Then I heard it in the news too. Galatasaray was a few years ago one of the richest clubs in the world. It was even in the Top 5 in 1997. They have enaugh money to hold such a huge festival so why should BJ, U2 or Phil Collins not accept it???I don’t see any reason!
Yeh and they also have fans who stab innocent people

understood, and i am sure they ARE huge in Turkey and well known in that region and the sporting community- but what makes them so special to host such a line up such as the one said here? i dont understand. The team is unheard of outside of europe, so why on earth would Bon Jovi and the others be joining in in this ''celebration''? Jon probably doesnt know what ''soccer'' is for a start.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Come on guys...the Turks are kids compared to the English and the German Hooligans...really, should this mean Bon jovi should not play English stadiums? The team has the money just as, let's say, Heineken has the money to host a huge festival every year in Italy. What's the difference?!
I'm only happy because it might be that I am on vacation at that particular momet in Turkey and I'm sure I'll witness one of the best shows ever if I'll be there.
Last year THE ROLLING STONES played Istanbul and a friend who was there told me that there were at least 100.000 people and the atmosphere was just the greatest.
