Really? That's odd. Those were direct off TM?

Oh well. I think U2 are trying to outdo Jovi's show with their big screens and all that.
U2 is no 2 touring band in the world right after Stones
and they have bigger scale production set than Bon Jovi

Of course $39 is up the back, but you might recall that being in the same spot at the same venue for Bon Jovi is over $100, which is kind of the point that's being made here. That, and the top end ticket prices for U2 this tour seem to be competitive with the bottom end of Bon Jovi's tix...

Yes, they were. The day the public sale started. This isn't something I "heard" -- I pulled those tickets myself when I was helping a friend try to get something decent. I remember it vividly, because I was astounded. And it was just tickets - nothing else included. I eventually managed to pull a pair in the 100 level that was maybe 1/3 of the stadium away from the Claw, and those were $250 each also.

Maybe pricing wasn't the same everywhere or maybe that was some sort of glitch when the tickets first went up for sale for the Chicago shows. I didn't look for tickets at any other shows, so I can't speak to that. And again, these tickets were for one of the 2009 shows, not for one of the 2010 shows that was postponed.

The difference is that Bono ain't a greedy prick like our mate JBJ
See that's the part the bugs the piss out of me, JBJ is greedy and Bono's a ****in' saint!!
Both of these bands are usually in the top five earners on tour when they are both out. They play the same places and at the end of the day they make pretty much the same money, so how is it one's greedy and the other isn't. U2's ticket tiering is just different than Bon Jovis, but it all ends up the same at the end.
